Almost after a decade of Neverwinter Nights (2002), Cryptic Studios has a new game coming up, featuring co-op multiplayer. Perhaps it is not a coincidence, giving the game a name like “Neverwinter”. As you may have guessed by now, Neverwinter’s main attraction is the similarity of the game to that old DM system BioWare created a decade ago.

Cryptic Studios announced with a press release that more of its veteran developers have returned to the studio following tenures elsewhere.

The MMO studio says it’s “unifying legacy expertise with fresh perspectives”
"Cryptic Studios and Gearbox Publishing are today very happy and excited to announce that "Neverwinter: Menzoberranzan" (Neverwinter’s 25th module) is now available for PC (via Steam), Xbox (via the Microsoft, and Playstation via digital stores (as announced at Wizards of the Coast’s Dungeons & Dragons Direct 2023 showcase)." - Jonas Ek, TGG.
It's for that online game, correct? I always wanted to see the drows home from Drizzt's books, I've read those years ago, but I never could fully imagine it from text alone. Looks a bit bright compared to what I remember how it was described, but I'm guessing that's for gameplay reasons.
It's great how many games are pushing co-op nowadays.
I really really really hope this is good.
one more game that i'm looking forward to buying because it looks so good.
Nice preview.
neverwinter nights 1 and 2 and the many, many great user mods and conversions make games like dragon age and mass effect seem shallow, i hope this game conmtinues that tradition, but i would be lying if i did not say i had my doubts
