Microsoft will partner with regional cable companies to bring live TV onto the Xbox, a new feature that it announced Monday at the Electronic Entertainment Exposition (E3).
That means the TV services will be provided through cable and satellite companies, and Xbox owners will need to subscribe to their services to get the live TV onto their game console.
why would anyone want that though, wouldn't it mean keeping your 360 on for so long to watch tv. There's definately a risk of overheating with a device that has so many functions.
One of the reasons receivers are useful is because they're not used for anything else so they can be kept on all the time.
I guess it can be used as a secondary receiver for temporary uses.
Q: Will the Bing search be full Web search or just for entertainment?
A: It will be full search on what you have on Xbox Live. So anything that's available on Xbox Live if you're a gold subscriber, it will search all of that. It won't go out and search the Web.
Me: So I'm paying to do searches on bing comeon, I can do it on my computer for free, sorry M$ this should be a feature for silver members as well.
a lot of 360 fanboys disagreeing lol they like getting raped by microsoft....anyway the bing app searches for stuff on the marketplace meaning it goes through the menus for you.....they showed it at the conference...they searched x-men and everything x-men related thats available on the marketplace showed up from games, movies, tv shows etc...the live tv feature is a complete waste of time...just get a cable box...
the only thing i like is the youtube app i hope we wont have to pay extra for that lol....
