
It looks as though Mojang may be changing the official release date of Minecraft from 11-11-11 due to the planned conference centers of MinecraftCon being fully booked.
“It looks like we need to change the release date for Minecraft to be able to get a good venue for MinecraftCon. 11/11/11 is fully booked.” Posted Minecraft creator, Notch on his personal blog. “One week later, perhaps? I’ll post more details as soon as we’ve decided and booked a venue.”

This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.
