I guess they beat the new Splinter Cell to the punch as far as crowd reaction and open, dynamic environments are concerned. I guess the PS3 can do complex crowd behavior, among other things. Interesting.

I hereby rename "Assassin's Creed" to "Knifefinger".

I wonder how much time I'll spend in the game just jumping around the rooftops instead of actually completing missions...

I have a question, why is he missing a finger? If I remember correctly it was so that knife of his could slide out, but couldn't he just as easily move his wrist a little? Don't get me wrong, losing a finger is a +20 to badassness but seems rather unnecessary. :)

i got a chance to play a little today at the london game festival and had a chat with Jade and the other guy ( i think he was the game design lead )..anyway, i just want to say wow!

ok, they only had the game running on 360's so i could not compare, but from what i saw it is by far one of the best games i have seen on any system so far.

FORGET anything negative you have heard from the press on this one. its a must buy game for real. i played it for about 10 min, there were no frame rate issues, none of the bugs or glitching that was reported before. it was running super smooth. everything from the lighting to the textures were so detailed.....personally i think it looks may petter then gears.

The controls, are not bad at all, you just may need a little practice getting use to them. The D-pad selects the weapons. All the climbing and jumping etc is done by simply holding down the right trigger and A at the same time....its as simple as that. he does all the leg work himself. The fighting and animation is very impressive, the guards do everything you can do ( apart from the wall climging ). if your in a fight and your blocking to much they will grab you and push or throw you to the floor, the AI is very good.

if the AI sees the path you are taking to make your escape, guards will respond by trying to cut you off or flank you. there is so much that has gone into this game.

while the deves could not or didn't talk about the story much for obvious reasons, i asked a question about some of the things i noticed.

i don't think this is really a spoiler, but as you play and you will notice this in a lot of the vids, you will notice the strange code thing that flashes across the screen from time to time. also, Alter's health bar looks like a human DNA strand with about 10 bars running along it. I said to the design guy that i had noticed it had a very SCI-FI look to it and asked if this had anything to do with the " big twist " in the story and if we would see this play a relevant part in the game. He said " with in the first 5 to 10 min of the game all this would become clear " he said some other stuff but i don't want to say to much.

so there you have it, as far as the story goes, this big twist is not something you will need to wait for the end of the game to find out what it is... at least thats what he said.

there is so much more to say, but the game is just round the corner, so i am not going to bore you all with my long post.

but i must say it again... it's a MUST by game. when i first saw this game it was one of the reasons i thought of getting a ps3. when i heard it was multi platform i thought great. when i read some of the comments from the press about it and saw some of the early videos i lost interest. i thought there were so many other games coming out i may just leave it. i didn't think it would live up to the hype or achive all the things the deves were claiming they were going to do. now i have seen and played it..... i cannot find one fault with it. i have not played much only 10min but this is my personal opinion based on what i have played. this is a real AAA title and deserves everyone's attention !

EVERYONE NEEDS TO OWN THIS GAME ! forget what ubisoft has done with most of there so called next gen games so far. GRAW was rubbish, so was Splinter Cell double agent. after those two games i was not impressed with what ubi had been pumping out, it seemed like all there games were being rushed and just ending up half finished and full of bugs by the time we end up playing them, but this, this is pure quality...like i said no technical issues at all, no jaggies, no drops in frame rate.

I know a lot of people have lost interest and some have doubts based on what has been said so far, but trust me you need to give it a try. if ever there was a game that deserves a try even though bad things have been said, trust me its this game ! i belive you will all be very supprised. If there was an award for comeback of the year, it should go to this game. it is different, very different and now its really starting to show !

Too many reviews focus on the content of the game and never address the technical issues. I'm glad you alleviated my concerns about AC. After seeing the early trailers and the latest builds, the screen shearing and buggy framerate had me greatly worried. Now I'll keep my pre-order, ty again bud. You saved me the trouble of having to read 30 reviews in order to find that out.

Can't wait anymore. Glad that it's gone gold. Assassin's can't arrive soon enough.

Ok, gamers have been following this game since 2005/2006. Who didnt know it was gonna be a hit. Its kind of a no-brainer. Why dont they find us some sleeper games to ge excited about, instead of telling us how good an obviously great game is.

Can't understand why people (Sony and MS fans) comparing this with Uncharted. Arguments going both ways as if the two are direct competitors. Both look great. Uncharted is PS3 exclusive, Creed is multi - and runs equally well on both PS3 and XB360. They are not even the same. Only thing they share is similar release time frame.

Please let go of this stupid comparisons. I will most probably get Uncharted this year, and Creed next year - but I will get both. Both seems too good to pass.

ya i was wondering why people keep comparing those 2 games there not even the same game or even based in same time period. but im getting them both but i dont think ill be swaping disks to campare grafix they both look really good imo

The industry is very risk averse. It's been that way for quite some time. You get a few people still bucking convention, but it's not the industry standard we had that died off somewhere in the seventh generation.

The idea sounds interesting, but at the end of the day, I don't have it in me to play yet another Assassin's Creed game. A better move than Yasuke, I would say.

Imagine cancelling the one game that actually would've put you in the good graces of gamers, but instead you create even MORE controversy on top of the giant amount you already had.

There is literally NOTHING wrong with this premise but apparently Ubisoft isn't smart enough to know that.

It's very ironic that they make a game where a black samurai that his existence have been debunked over and over again in the past few years with the scam of that historians book. But feel like they will be criticized for depicting the a place and time where black people were suffering and fighting for their lives and freedom.
