Wish I was at E3. Oh well, I will be playing the MP beta coming in September, for sure. Wonder if there will also be a SP demo? Though I'm primarily a MP BF gamer, the SP campaign has me intrigued and wouldn't mind trying a little taste of it as well..

They should have made it that you can only be revived if you actually called out after being fragged for the medic by click shoot or whatever.

I don't no how many times I was angry at you said scenario.

Mmmmmmm. Some VERY good things in here for me. Standouts are being able to opt out of being revived, and choosing a fire mode. My weapon of choice in BC2 is the M14 with 4x zoom. Hopefully gonna have more choices now for semi-auto.

I rarely ever mess with peoples bubbles, but congratulations waterboy you have managed to LOSE bubbles from me because of your totally worthless 4 word trolling sentence.

Anyway I have reached the point that I don't want more then one shooter per year, and Battlefield 3 will be that shooter this year. Its no contest. EA has went all out on Battlefield 3 this year. Not only that they are selling the game unlike Activision which feels they no longer have to even try.

i feel the same way. i mean cmon...64 players and we can only have 4 in a squad?! le sigh. oh and no commo rose :( I hope voice chat isn't restricted to only the squad. otherwise communication is gonna be a bitch.

Totally agree. I'm getting worried this is going to be BC2 with prone and planes. I really didn't like BC2 that much and HATED the way it controlled (played on PC). It felt like the reticle moved through syrup.

I'm gonna guess that they got rid of the Commander that sent in air strikes, supplies, uav's, etc also? If it's gonna be dumbed down for people, there can't be a commander anymore.

Don't get me wrong, I am excited about BF3 but I feel the 4 player limit on squads ruined BF2. I have more than 4 friends that would be on my team and the only way to talk would be to not join a squad.

I'm gettin more and more concerned. This looks and sounds more and more like beefed up BFBC2 and nothing like a beefed up BF2. No commo rose, 4 classes and 4 players per squad, no commander mode, probably no UAV and supply drops etc, no side specific weapons(russians and americans all totting the same M16s and Ak-47 WTF?!?!?!)

Only thing that'll put everyone's wories to rest, with exception of some console players: mod tools. and none of that engine's too complex bull cr@p. if someone cares enough they'll figure it out and put in the effort. too bad it proly wont happen because of a certain business practice ARGH!!!!

Which is so ignorant it almost physically hurts.

They have the damn templates lol. Everyone LOVED Battlefield all the way up through BF4. Everything after BF4 is where fans started getting divided because they started dumbing down the gameplay.

So they need to go back to the favorites. Bad Company 2. BF3 and BF4.

Take those games. Take the exact same gameplay. Update the graphics. Add some different game modes. Make new maps. Add new guns. Choose two armies. And make a single player campaign.

That's seriously it. They need to quit trying to make BF something it isn't. They have everything they need. Why they can't figure this out just hurts my brain trying to understand.

BF3? They need to go back to BF2 for the mainline. Heck, I'd settle for true-to-source remakes of BF2 and BC2 (w/ Vietnam). Everything they've done in the 'modern' era is just bad.

I've not played 2042 myself but after v I don't feel like it. I played a few hours of v with friends but it feels ultra sterile I can't figure it out but the game looks and feels clinical. The storys in the campaign were also bland and uninteresting and felt like a dull trudge through checkpoints as you waited for an ending.

I've played the franchise dating back to it's original PC launch and PS2 spin off games I did enjoy 1 overall and it's take on placing you in different scenarios and battles was interesting but not all that good imo as you couldn't really connect with any characters longer than 2 hours.

hardline for all the hate it recived was a fun story and a new take but a bad mp game

I feel like v overall was the turning point and instead of showing the gritty reality of war they turned everything sterile and presented it in a clean cut boring frame in order to pump it full of weird micro transactions overall they spent far to much time on trying to implant ray tracing and other graphical flourishes and forgot to make the game enjoyable
