The original Devil May Cry was the only good one in the franchise, anyway.

DMC2 all over again. Kinda sad just cause they are making DmC. I would rather wish Ninja Theory did another Capcom game. Sorry, but the game is slow and it looks worse than DMC4 graphics wise. They are using a very old engine. I can see the darn polygons. If you want to make me happy capcom, release the HD collection please.

Gameplay looks very stiff because of the Unreal engine. Doesn't looks like you can create your own combos either. Some people will be happy because they're finally showing something, but I'm not satisfied at all. It's my favorite game series ever, but I just can't get down with this gameplay. I'll just wait for the collection, NG3, and Bayonetta.

As soon as the new Dante's face appeared in close up i couldn't manage to watch anymore. Sometimes devs need to think hard before placing their flagship franchises into the hands of the likes of NT. Damage has already been done to the Metroid franchise...

I'm over the old DMC games. I played them I liked them but I don't care about them anymore. This new direction they are taking actually has me more interested than a direct sequel probably would had.

DMC and Ninja Gaiden for me. But from a gameplay standpoint this games a more a familiar look just a faster pace which is fine.

But from a story standpoint it was really unnecessary for Capcom to refresh the series I mean they still had Virgil to bring back plus at the end of the 4th one it showed there was Demons world wide not in just one city.

I hate the people who say things like "Oh this looks crap, but I'll still get it for the story" or "I'll still get it anyway"

Why do that your giving Capcom a happy sale, we should stick to our guns and stand our ground so we can let Capcom know not to fuck around with a video game franchise we all love. Wait untill a few months after it's release, when it's in the preowned bin or price has been cut.

Look at Enslaved, it's really cheap now because not that many bought it and it didn't do well as NT hoped.

I dont agree with the reboot either but at the end of the day we're gonna pick it because the game looks solid and you're curious about it.

Not really digging the now look. This should have just been a new IP. I don't understand why Capcom felt this franchise needed a reboot... aside from calling it "Devil May Cry" so they could make money. Looks like their plan backfired because nobody seems to like the new Dante.

That said I think it looks pretty cool if I don't associate it with Devil May Cry. Let's just see if Ninja Theory could get the gameplay right.

I'll give it a chance. They've shown gameplay and it stands up to classic DMC in my opinion. Not thrilled about the new look but whatever.

If they packaged this as a totally new IP,then I would have at least gave it a chance,but this piece of dog poo is nothing like what a DMC game should be ! Looks lame. Notice how they added the rebellion sword and the white hair while he casts this weird spell thingy. Probably just did that to shut up the fans, still sucks though.

The trailer above is what a trailer is all about, great music, great combos and the (gunshot) followed by 'Devil May Cry' at the end of the trailer.

The graphics look dissapointing, DMC4 looks better.

I'll still get it to see what it has to offer.

But i doubt it'll beat the storyline compared to the DMC1,3 and 4.

Love to see a sequel to Nero's story, including the Origional Dante and Vergil.

Well, so far, the ONLY thing I have a problem with is STILL Dante's new look.

Gameplay still resembles the DMC I'm used to playing... and therein lies the rub... Capcom, you handed it off to Ninja Theory... and the best they've done is put a new coat of paint over gameplay so similar, it borders on same old, same old?

This would make me seem kind of hypocritical if I said I didn't like that, seeing as how it's the one thing I'm also holding against NFS: The Run and Ridge Racer Unbound or Unleashed... whatever. But that's not the case. of these three games, I haven't seen a single thing that makes them bad as standalone games in their own right. In fact they all look very good. But each one simply has something about it that just makes me say "meh."

NFS: The Run - It's not Hot Pursuit.

RR Unbound: It looks less like a Ridge Racer game, and more like a Burnout game. And that's not what I want in a Ridge Racer game. But that's just my personal preference.

DmC: ... I REALLY HATE Dante's new look. Game looks fine otherwise.

Still not impressed. The gameplay looks solid enough, but it takes more than just good gameplay to make a Devil May Cry game. I just don't understand the need to reboot such a fairly-new series. Especially when there is so much more that could be explored with the original plot and timeline (I was hoping for a continuation of the Dante and Vergil storyline, for starters).

It makes no sense. Why not just make a new IP alltogether?

Still not sold in this game. This person can never replace the dante I grew up with. I want to like the gameplay, story, and CHARACTER. so no sale as of yet.

Peoplek bitch a lot...the game looks great and seems to play like a DMC game.

It's not the hair color that gets me, it's still the fact he very highly resembles Tameem Antoniades. From what I've read during his interviews he seems to be very arrogant in what he wants and not what the customers (us) want.

The game itself is suppose to reflect upon the economic state the world is in, I don't need another god damn reminder I play video games to temporarily escape that.

He also made a comment that with the way the old Dante looked if he would go into a bar now in days he would be laughed out, ummm I'm sure Master Chief, Samus Aran, Ryu Hayabusa, Kratos, Link, Mario, Luigi, just to name a few would get laughed out of bars too. Doesn't really give you the right to have a very mainstream character in video games to be in the image of yourself.

I personally think this is how the fans truly feel.

The video did not change my fears and thoughts regarding this reboot, first and foremost.

I think the angles of the camera and really just what they showed didn't really come off very smooth to me.

The camera gets close to the back of his head forcing me to see that haircut in even more detail. Literally as I was completely writing it off in my mind BOOM white hair.

So I think: Maybe?.... Just maybe...

This game officially has my attention and I can't wait to see more, I like what they're hinting at with Dante's white hair.

I hated it when I first saw it. But I'm a tad more intrigued.

So I suppose I'm the only one who likes the new look? The gameplay and setting look great, and I actually don't mind the new Dante. I would prefer that his hair be white, but otherwise he looks fine. And so does the game.

I honestly dont know why everyone was bitching about this game in the first place. Yeah it may not be the origional Dante, but thats why its called a remake, it comes with new things. And Ninja Theory knows how to make a good game.

I am a hardcore DMC fan and I love Ninja Theory games Hevenly sword and Enslaved but the combat looks a little like Hevenly swordI think it's in insult to the Fans of the games don't know why the DMC name is on it I know it's a reboot the first DMC made me buy a PS2.

I don't know how to react. It looks ok in a new direction kinda way but at the same time it's meh. The new Dante doesn't really catch my attention , the moves looked awesome though. Idk Maybe its cuz I'm used to Old Dante hell even Nero was weird but had the cocky attitude that made him resemble Dante.

Capcom has other IP's they can also dip into. Wouldn't mind a new Dino Crisis, Darkstalkers, Breath of Fire. Hell even dust off some of the old shmups or a decent Bionic Commando.

As a DMC fan since the first, I find its impact fascinating.

Despite never being a powerhouse in terms of sales, you can argue it's the single most influential series at this very moment. Everything is copying it, even Final Fantasy of everything lmao.
