No, it will definitely NOT look as good on outdated hardware. They'll probably have to clarify this one. I still expect the console versions to look good, just nowhere near its PC counterpart.

I think the fact that they didn't show any console footage doesn't bode well for the game.

When MW3 was shown at the MS presser everyone went wild, it was trending and people are all like "MW3 looks sick!" because they know it's running on a 360. So far all we've seen from BF3 is super high end P.C. footage that 1% of the population or less actually owns.

I am a console gamer, EA failed to show me what I wanted to see.

Who cares... I have a good PC and battlefield is played best on PC so who cares about a dumbed down version on xbox 360 or PS3. Learn to switch and go buy a PC. If you are not happy go play Halo4 HaloHD and Halo 5-6-7 and COD -7-8-9-10

Will be buying this game for PC on 1080p 4x AA and 16x AF and play for years like pasts BF games.

Ok listen PC users, we are not trying to compete with graphics capable of PC, we know PC will look/run better, its common sense! What we consoles users are trying to get at is if the game will look AMAZING, on par or even better than current games on the CONSOLES. Will BF3 look great like Killzone 3, will it look better than Gears 3, Uncharted 2/3, Resistance 3, Halo Reach (on consoles) Will it just be a simple port like COD across each console or will it utilize each consoles capabilities to their fullest as if it were an exclusive?

How does a game that has been talked about for months and has a fall release date have ZERO console footage?! Fire the marketing department at EA/Dice. They've spent the past 2 months trash talking their competition, and that same competition beats them to the punch within a couple weeks of being announced.

There will be OPEN-beta for ALL platforms, so everybody will get theyr hands in this game before the final product.

Also there was shown a littlebit PS3 version in EA-conference, only couple seconds, but looked good.

Maybe as the PC was lead on this, the console versions are not yet up to their best... and so Dice don't want to show it until it looks as good as it can!

But from what i've seen and read, they really seem to be pushing the PS3, fully using spu's for lighting,shaders,culling. etc. They port dx11 compute shaders to the spu's.

I hope for PS3, it's 720p, either mlaa or msaa x2. If not then qaa i guess.

We console gamers get at least 90% of the Battlefield 3 ** experience ** for a fraction of the money you PC gamers spend on your PRECIOUS.

I stress ** experience ** because BF has always been about the experience rather than how pretty it looks, true HD or not, high frame rates, etc.

Pc, PS3, 360... Can't we form a team just this once in the fight against COD? We really shouldn't be fighting amongst ourselves. If they say it will be close graphically, it will be close.

OT: Battlefield is an amazing franchise. I can't wait to see some extended console footage.

BF3? They need to go back to BF2 for the mainline. Heck, I'd settle for true-to-source remakes of BF2 and BC2 (w/ Vietnam). Everything they've done in the 'modern' era is just bad.

I've not played 2042 myself but after v I don't feel like it. I played a few hours of v with friends but it feels ultra sterile I can't figure it out but the game looks and feels clinical. The storys in the campaign were also bland and uninteresting and felt like a dull trudge through checkpoints as you waited for an ending.

I've played the franchise dating back to it's original PC launch and PS2 spin off games I did enjoy 1 overall and it's take on placing you in different scenarios and battles was interesting but not all that good imo as you couldn't really connect with any characters longer than 2 hours.

hardline for all the hate it recived was a fun story and a new take but a bad mp game

I feel like v overall was the turning point and instead of showing the gritty reality of war they turned everything sterile and presented it in a clean cut boring frame in order to pump it full of weird micro transactions overall they spent far to much time on trying to implant ray tracing and other graphical flourishes and forgot to make the game enjoyable

I mean thats all we've wanted since BF4 but they keep doing everything we don't want.
