Joystiq: Medieval Moves Preview

JOYSTIQ: "One of my biggest surprises during PAX Prime 2011 was a game I almost decided not to play.

Time is limited at these events, so when I was presented with a swath of choices at Sony's corner of the show at the nearby Grand Hyatt, I had to be shrewd. Starhawk? Sure! Journey! You bet. Medieval Moves: Deadmund's Quest? Ehh ...

RandomFractal5391d ago

There will be a demo, don't worry.

HeavenlySnipes5392d ago

They should have stuck with the Gladiator thing from Sports Champions and made a proper RPG out of that rather than making this. The gladiator thing was VERY fun to play, and if utilized in an RPG, it'd be the first Move only hit for the Move

"Boy, am I glad I took a chance on this one, because slashing, guarding and shooting as the diminutive skeleton was some of the most fun I had all weekend."

Gimme demo.

I'd rather have seen more of Sorcery and how it's progressing. :(

rdgneoz35477d ago

Looks interesting, but yah, I'd love to see how Sorcery is doing. Hopefully its almost done and will be out in the fall.

ReservoirDog3165477d ago

Haha, true but I actually really liked how this one looks. After I get that Resistance 3 PS Move bundle I'll probably get this.

ALFAxD_CENTAURO5477d ago

Yes, I don't what happened with that game. I was waiting more of it and also the other PS Move game with the flashlight.

Sorcery has most likely been turned into this game. That was my first thought while viewing footage of this anyway.

This is a lot better than what MS showed with all that family crap.

Went to get a drink, and come back to kids in Disneyland... I wanted to punch them so I could see an actual game.

blackburn105477d ago

I want this and Sorcery. Two adventure games for the Move.Perfect.

DigitalRaptor5477d ago

Are you serious?

Sorcery looks great, but this looks just.... poor!

blackburn105477d ago

I am sorry but i liked it. That's what OPINIONS are for. Besides just a demo. We don't know how the finished product will be.

This game did look really bad. I was very disappointed when I saw it. Of course, the Kinect Star Wars and Fable games also looked terrible. Sorcery looked like a game that actually took great advantage of the Move but it's omission today makes me wonder whether it has been cancelled. Can anyone confirm if it's in Sony's booth?

andron5476d ago

It's coming. Sorcery is already announced, so they use E3 to show new stuff instead...

Disccordia5476d ago

Uncharted 3, Starhawk, Resistance 3 and all the Vita games had already been announced and they were all shown. Infamous 2 is out now and they still wasted time on it so I really do not see your point. Sorcery has not been mentioned since last e3 and appeared to be a almost a Move AAA title there's no reason why they wouldn't at least mention it.

andron5476d ago

Well Sony took time to announce Sorcery last E3 so it doesn't make sense to use time on it now when they have new move games to show. Sorcery won't be out until next year probably...
