Why I Am Not Going to E3 2011

Kotaku: Last weekend I spent nearly $100 on new clothing for E3 2011. Now my flight is cancelled, I'm not going, and the only question I have is how are two unborn babies going to come up with the cash to pay me back?

Money doesn't grow on trees, and it certainly doesn't grow inside a woman's uterus. I spent nine months of my life making sure. My memory is rather fuzzy about the time period, but I'm sure if there was money in there I wouldn't have come out empty-handed.

Cared enough to...
...
Nah, you've heard that before, I wouldn't want to annoy anyone by spouting cliches we've all heard a few too many times. ;)

Anyways, it may not even have been this guy's intent to have this submitted to another site, so give him a break, okay?

@Yellow13
Meh, I've actually seen worse in N4G's blogs and forums. I'm totally serious, lol.

@Valvatorez
Hmmm... it seems you are one of the few people here that aren't being the stereotypical snooty gamer. XD

@creamsoda
You may not now this, but pre-ejaculatory fluid (pre-cum) can carry traces of semen, which could still impregnate a female.

@hellraiserpop
EXACTLY, bro. Leave this man alone, people. Blame -Mezzo-! That stinkin' one-bubble! ;)

gedapeleda5481d ago

Thats exactly what i thought when i read the article name

This E3 is more exciting than any other, NGP, Project Café, Motion is now 1 year in. It's all about the games. There is more mystery in this year. I expect huge shock & awe.

TheKindRoost5481d ago

What is this? D4G(diary for gamers) now?

gamingdroid5481d ago (Edited 5481d ago )

No it's F4G and O4G!

Fanboy 4 Gamers and Opinions 4 Gamers!!!

None the less, that was one well written story with as little possibly related to gaming... and no we don't care you got laid during blizzcon, but good for you.

Studio-YaMi5481d ago

How could you get 6 bubbles while you were from the first people to justify hacking the PS3 and in every PS3 hacking topic you were defending the god damn hackers !

This site becomes odd on each week I visit it lol !

pixelsword5481d ago (Edited 5481d ago )

@ studio:

it's because the mods appear to be somewhat slanted towards the 360. When the 360 was going through it's RRoD episodes, anyone who questioned the quality of the 360, they lost bubbles.

After all of the stuff hackers did, and people laughing at the PS3 fans on this site, I made one off-comment about the hackers (which was "every time you punch a hacker, an angel gets it's wings") and lost a bubble... but saying "it only does offline" in a title picture or a comment gets no recourse.

Think about that: both are insults, but the difference is that one is a title, and represents the quality of the moderation of the site and it gets no recourse, but when I make no direct comment to insult anyone on the site, that, for some reason, has to be dealt with. HipHopGamer is a member of this site, and his articles and he himself are insulted on a weekly basis, but for some reason no bubbles are taken away (maybe because HHG is pro PS3, perchance?)

Now, G.D. directed insulted the site, I merely pointed out that the mods may be somewhat favoring a console (which is an opinion, and is not a bad thing in theory) but let's see if an insult or defining an opinion will lose bubbles.

gamingdroid5481d ago

I haven't changed my opinion of that. I strongly believe that I'm allowed to do as I please with hardware I purchased.

There are a couple of things here:

a) If I want to install my licensed (or self produced) software ON MY HARDWARE I should be able to.

2. Blanket blaming people is ignorant and irresponsible. What's happening is 'all the pent-up angry people that felt they no longer could play online' took it out on the hackers even though it was subset of them that did most likely did it for monetary reasons, not for your software freedom. Hacker is a very general term, I could as equally had been angry at "people that use computers".

3. What about the people that was using 'OtherOS', don't you think they were angry when something they were using got removed? ... oh, that is because hardly anyone used it. Does it matter? Does that person have any fewer rights than you.

I could go on... anyhow, if you are going to respond, please respond with a thoughtful and critical comment.

JohnnyMann4205481d ago

@gamingdroid,

Get a life. Just because no one cares about a whiney article doesn't make that person a fanboy. As far as opinions, yeah we got them...big deal.

That is what makes N4G, our opinions on articles.

Besides, look at the comments. You think it is just a few gamers that thing that this article is a crybaby fest? No! It's pretty much the whole damn site minus yourself.

Get over yourself and go hangout with the author if you like him so much. He could use a kiss and hug.

gamingdroid5481d ago

I actually think you misunderstood me. I didn't claim Yellow13 was a fanboy, well at least intentionally since re-reading my comment it could come across as such.

My point was that, there are plenty of issues with this website having far too many "amateur" opinion pieces with little news with fanboy's flocking to it.

However, as I pointed out it was much better written and certainly entertaining article. If more opinion pieces were like that I wouldn't mind.

pixelsword5481d ago (Edited 5481d ago )

You say...

Blanket blaming people is ignorant and irresponsible.

Yet you say...

"No it's F4G and O4G!

Fanboy 4 Gamers and Opinions 4 Gamers!!! "

You say

"I haven't changed my opinion of that. I strongly believe that I'm allowed to do as I please with hardware I purchased."

Yet you say...

"What's happening is 'all the pent-up angry people that felt they no longer could play online' took it out on the hackers..."

You say...

"...if you are going to respond, please respond with a thoughtful and critical comment."

Yet you said what you said.

You see, no one forced the software change from other OS, you could keep it, you just couldn't go on the PSN, which isn't yours. The more perceptive hackers themselves realized that they looked like fools because you can't defend an innocent person's rights by taking away the rights of others who are also innocent.

That's called hypocrisy.

Defending such rank hypocrisy when even you yourself said that some are doing it for money brings to mind a verse in the bible:

"He that oppresses the poor to increase his riches, and he that gives to the rich, shall surely come to want."

When you are defending these who are not doing it for "your software freedom" and are likely doing it for money as you so rightly stated, you are giving to the rich.

Remember that.

Also remember that everyone who is against what the hackers did to gamers are not necessarily against hacking or hackers in general.

gamingdroid5481d ago (Edited 5481d ago )

"You see, no one forced the software change from other OS, you could keep it, you just couldn't go on the PSN, which isn't yours."

That is BS, you got to choose between the right to play future Blu-Ray movies/games or keep OtherOS both was promised at the time I purchased my console. It wasn't just the loss of access to PSN despite that they have nothing to do with each other even, but nice twist there leaving out pertinent facts.

Any perceptive person can understand that....

"When you are defending these who are not doing it for "your software freedom" and are likely doing it for money as you so rightly stated, you are giving to the rich."

That is where your logic is flawed as I never once protected the hackers that did the hacking of PSN. I'm simply stating that you can't blame "all" hackers simply because a very small percentage of them do it for criminal purposes. At least no more than any computer user is a hacker!

"it's because the mods appear to be somewhat slanted towards the 360. When the 360 was going through it's RRoD episodes, anyone who questioned the quality of the 360, they lost bubbles. "

This comment alone tells me where you are coming from....

"Also remember that everyone who is against what the hackers did to gamers are not necessarily against hacking or hackers in general."

I agree, and I am against the hacking of PSN albeit I think Sony egged it on themselves, but I still do not condone the actions of the "specific" hackers that did it.

I would also like to say you are really good at twisting my words, so I shall choose my words more carefully.

Rolling the Dice: Do Modern RPGs Miss the Point of Team-Based Play?

It seems it was long time ago. A bunch of friends spending hours on end playing RPG games, sitting around the table with the box of cold pizza. Excited about the story, listening to the Game Master, they were completely engaged in the worlds only visible to them and their imaginations.

The GM is the programmer, and in MMOs and co-ops, you can play with others. If you want to ONLY use your imagination for the visuals, read a book.

1) Hope they put it on disc this time.
2) Hope this is a positive for Neptune coming over as well.

Demons Souls5841d ago

If so, that's being developed & published by Idea Factory. Compile Heart has nothing to do with it (Thank God for that).

Godmars2905841d ago (Edited 5841d ago )

Thought Compile Heart was one of the companies lending characters.

Was also speaking in general as in regards to a US of Neptune. If these guys are offing a second game, NIS or Atlus, both of whom offer quirkier titles, will put that one out.

@kagon01:
My issue isn't - wholly - with the DL-only option, but the price. The first game should be $30. Maybe $40, and by that I mean $39.99. The only reason its $45 is the 360 disc version which has extras. Nevermind that by all rights its a PS2 game. Something that proabbly could have been done if the devs had the GOW2 engine or tools.

ClownBelt5841d ago

I approve of this god damn message.

Could have gotten my 60 bucks if they just put it on a disc.

Another exclusive damnn the ps3 keeps on rollin wit games awesome ;)

Jack-Pyro5841d ago

Is this a half decent SRPG, porn aside, cause if it is, i might just decide to go and buy it for the 360.

Anon73495841d ago

There's no porn just some sexual innuendos but that's it.

Also it is a great game by itself, maybe not graphically but everything else is top tier.

RedDevils5841d ago

so it had some kind of "top tier" porn story jk

ThanatosDMC5841d ago

Yup, it's a decent game. I just hate that a move has to go first before any attack options.
