Gaming Irresponsibly's first impressions of DNF are that the game doesn’t look as nearly as bad as the trailers had made it appear. The graphics certainly aren’t Crysis 2 quality but they are definitely up to current standards. There seems to be an opportunity to interact with many different things in Duke’s environment. We peed in the urinal, turned on all the sinks, played with the soap dispenser and hand dryers and even drew on a dry erase board with a collection of markers. You can tell that there is a distinct nod to all of the prior games. Duke provides his familiar and cocky voice over during almost everything you do. What he says is incredibly cheesy but honestly, we couldn’t have it any other way.

Duke Nukem Forever originally began its life as a sidescroller instead of a shooter back in 1996, and that canceled version has just been leaked.
Very cool, but i don't know how real this is... I'll check it out later to find out.

Duke Nukem Forever, the troubled FPS from Gearbox and 3D Realms, has been restored to more traditional 90s shooter thanks to a sweeping “remaster” mod
kinda of a misleading title.
Mod features:
Sprinting removed and faster player movement
Jump height increased
Swim speed is much faster
Player can now hold breath underwater for 45 seconds instead of 15
Weapon rebalance and screen shake when shooting removed
2/4 weapon limit completelly removed
Quicksaves (F5 by default)
Depth of Field removed and new post processing effects
Driving sections are now in first person perspective
yw.

Duke Nukem Forever, the infamous and controversial FPS from 3D Realms, apparently looked much better before launch, as modders discover various cut features
Wow, that advanced lighting makes a huge difference to the visuals. I get that Gearbox tried to slap everything together and release a finished product. But it seems like they cut out a lot of content that would have made the experience more enjoyable. That's a shame.
I dont think I have the guts to upload my preview onto N4G. Why? Because I kind of bashed the demo a bit...
I talked about a few things you guys talked about, but if I uploaded mine, oh the hate I would get. You need to actually play the demo to understand what I mean.
Also, the Bills would have a Superbowl if Duke was their kicker
i played the demo earlier today, thought it was funny as hell but man, the gameplay was dry and boring for something relasing in 2011. I don't see myself spending $60 for this yet alone $50 or $40. Just my opinion though and I'll pass on this game.
I'll get it when the game comes down in price. Straight forward shooter with way outdated visuals at a $50 asking price? No way. Not today. Maybe 12 years ago, but not today.
I wish the best to the king...but I would be lying if I said I was exited for this.
I think most people who are hopeful just have a bad case of nostalgia.
I hope I am wrong, because I love Duke Nukem 3d and Gearbox, but....
