Crytek UK working on single-player only game?

Crytek UK is going to make an announcement about their next game at E3. As German magazine Gameswelt.de dug up, it might just be a single-player game, pretty much ruling out the possibility of a TimeSplitters 4 or Star Wars: Battlefront 3 which relied heavily on their respective multiplayer modes.

What else could it be, then? A new Haze? Or something completely different?

C'mon....No Timesplitters or Battlefront? I don't want it then.

kramun5468d ago

I must be one of the only ones that thought Timesplitters wasn't that great.

Pintheshadows5468d ago

Yes, I think you probably are.

kramun5468d ago

Well it's been a while, but I remember reading about it and people praising it but when I played it I thought it was really simplistic and not as good as I was led to believe.

It says unannounced title in the statement, Kingdoms has already been anounced by its publisher last E3

Wonder if we will get the real name for codename kingdoms next week.

I really want to see a Crysis 4 with all the ray-tracing & path-tracing effects. It would be a shame if they canceled the project. Maybe they could do a kickstarter?

DF
" Crysis is something of a tentpole game series for us at Digital Foundry, with a reputation for being an early adopter of graphics technologies that would later define entire generations of PC and console video games. That includes the likes of screen-space ambient occlusion, sub-surface scattering and ray-marched volumetric lighting, but you could write volumes about just how ground-breaking that first game was "

I really hope they come out and push the industry forward like they used to. I miss old crytek

They all look disappointed by this news especially Alex

Pretty sad that the studio that gave us a monumental game like Crysis is now subsisting on microtransactions from a live service PVPVE game.

Why'd the day start with such sad gaming news?
Absolutely disheartening.

Jingsing464d ago

Maybe putting The Power Rangers in Hunt Showdown will get you some money back. (sarcasm)

Kassanova07464d ago

I'm always rooting for Crytek.

P_Bomb464d ago
