Im sure R* said that they wont attend E3 2011? i might be wrong.

TheTruth895391d ago (Edited 5391d ago )

they can say whatever they want, but at least 1 R* game will be at E3.

Remember E3 2009? R* said the same... but, Agent was announced...

I'll bet that at least 1 of this games will be shown:
GTA V, Agent, Some GTA Remakes.

At the moment R* have got GTA V, Max Payne 3 and Agent in the works so I think we will see at least one at this E3 surely, as speculations are that GTA V will be released sometime in 2012 so I think Max Payne will be released late this year or early 2012, and as for Agent I think it will go down the same path as LA Noire of once being a PS3 exclusive to going to the 360 aswell. I just cant see it remaining on the PS3 as they would be missing out on a lot of 360 sales.

Rockstar claim Agent to be the next GTA. So like GTA III, Agent could possibly release on Playstation and eventually be released on XBox.

I think (and hope!) that AGENT will be at Sony's press Conference.

Max Payne 3 is still very much alive and looks fantastic, if you remember that magazine article a few month back. I honestly think it will be released this October/November.

GTA V will come, not totally sure about it getting mentioned at E3 though. But a surprise announcement would be epic!

I hope the next GTA is in a new city this time around. I loved Vice City and San Andreas, but I don't want to get burnt out cycling through the same three cities every decade. Also a mission editor, been wanting one since GTA II.

Rockstar launches official marketplace for mods

Rockstar has launched an official marketplace for "every server and every player" to buy mods: Cfx Marketplace.

I wonder how much of this isn't just taken work of others who have modded for free.

Edit: Also, great way for R* to take popular ideas and build them into GTAVI based on demand.

What I see happening here is, R* is going to ban mods in GTA6 UNLESS you buy them from the marketplace and R* then gets a cut of that sale.

ActualWhiteMan48d ago

Ah, perfect timing with them taking down the Bully online fan mod. Greedy a$$ company.

Christopher48d ago

It's okay as long as they get a cut of the money.

fr0sty48d ago

Expect R* to force it on you.

Snookies1248d ago

Yep, right there with you. I'll happily donate to a mod creator if it looks really cool, or if I enjoy it. But expecting payment up front? Nope, not touching it.

I'm not entirely sure how to read this, as it doesn't seem exactly like an exact parallel to Bethesda's paid mods shenanigans.

Rather than single player stuff, this appears to be aimed solely on Cfx Servers. From what I've gleaned, apparently Rockstar bought the Cfx mod team several years ago, coming a few years after weird contentions led them to ban a few of their members. Ultimately, the question is if they plan to keep this contained to only online/servers.

I have to guess to a degree yes. It'd be pretty hard to "force" paid mods for single player when modding files locally on your own machine, but much easier for servers they'll control. So perhaps this is their soft launch ahead of GTA6 online and they'll clamp down more tightly on non-official servers going forward? Ever since they've become a 1 or 2 property studio, I haven't really cared much for Rockstar stuff, so I'm not entirely up on everything surrounding this. Sounds like it has the potential to be problematic further down the line, but right now fairly easy to ignore...I think lol.

They were involved in protected Union activities and Rockstar will be in trouble with the NLRB.

You think this NLRB will lift a finger?

Watch the video this is in England

Basically this is Rockstar vs the Union members word. These employees could be cherry picking or spoofing the chat logs.Rockstar could be lying. I will withhold judgment until Discord is subpoened and releases the chat group text from their servers.
