Really, THQ? Did Metro: Last Light Need Multiplayer That Bad?

GameFront, "I recently crossed off a long-standing item on my to-do list when I beat Metro 2033 this past weekend. Despite some very noticeable balancing issues with regards to enemy AI and damage ratios, 4A Games’ dismal and depressing survival-shooter is one of the most immersive, atmospheric and rewardingly stressful games I’ve played in very long time. Needless to say, I have begun to look forward to Metro: Last Light immensely. All they needed to do was delve deeper into the story and provide challenge that cheated a little less in order to provide a near perfect experience."

I have a question...why did it take you an entire year to finish the game or did you wait till now to play it because???...

Silly arguments really. Gears 3 will launch with Single player, 4 player campaign based co-op, Horde mode and multi-player to boot. It will cost the same amount of money as Metro 2033. Why would anyone want to buy Metro 2033 for a single player campaign that's maybe 6-8-10 hours long at the same price point. I really enjoyed Metro but it should of sold for 29.99 as all single player only games should.

With the exception of LA Noire, Rockstar has started incorporating Multi-player in all their titles as well...they know what's up.
If you want to compete with the big boys, you better come with the big guns. If you want the type of sales that halo, COd or Gears generate, then a single player campaign is not going to cut it...not for me or for millions of other gamers.

A great example is/was Alan wake. Alan Wake as of Early 2011 sold over a million copies...but, it was also reported/confirmed that AW was pirated 1.4 million times...why. CoD black ops was pirated 960,000 times and sold millions and millions more than AW. RDR was sold at the same time time as AW and it sold millions and millions more than AW as well, piracy aside.

WHY...The REASON is because those games had more than just a simple campaign and featured great Multi-player content as well as great add ons such as the zombie modes/game,co-op...etc.

If you want to sell your game at full price, you will have to offer more than a single player campaign. Look what happened to Vanquish and Enslaved.

This game focused a lot on immersion. Dragging resources away from the campaign is a stupid idea.

As mentioned, it already had some AI issues, poor stealth sections, glitches, and not the tightest of shooting mechanics. Don't take resources AWAY from the sequel's campaign. ADD resources if anything.

Before they even bother adding multiplayer, they need to worry about making a polished campaign.

Well hopefully this means that the guns will be much more powerful than the previous game.

I don't mind having a multiplayer but surely this game should be campaign focused as its coming directly from source material.

Never got into Exodus, but 2033 was excellent.

Yeah, Exodus just didn't grab me either, sadly.

I absolutely loved 2033 and Last Light, however. Played them both on 360 and then again with the remasters!

I just started it and it is already miles better than the first 2 which are dated.
