Wow hopefully they finally make a game that is next-gen ready.Its pretty funny when tha WWE games on PS2 had more and better features then tha ones released on 360/PS3 these past couple of years.

So where is the news about the new game? It's Tuesday.

I heard that it would be called "WWE 12" or something like that. Probably the same game, just with a pretty new package.

I hope that's not the case because THQ has a lot to prove lately. They seem to be more into punishing all of the used game market and rush things rather than putting a quality product together that doesn't look like the WWE had them by the balls and they caved in at every demand. I know you have to be respectful towards the licenser, but I can't see even Vince McMahon being THAT anal, regardless of what he seems to be making the WWE into these days.

Here Comes The Pain continues to be the best game in the series because of how much you could actually DO in the game. You can't make an unknown gender character anymore, you can't have a superstar switch brands whenever you want, and you can't have half of the whacky, hair-brained CAW ideas that you used to have. They've gone with the "we want you to be totally serious about making your CAW" and took out all of the fun stuff that made it what it was back in HCTP. HCTP just plain worked, and I'm not sure why they haven't gone back to that model and expand on that.

Then again, hopefully this is a sign of things to come. I'm just not holding my breath for it since we all know what direction THQ has gone in these days.

SVR doesn't even come close to No Mercy which is an N64 game...

man i miss the days when thq created SEPARATE wwe games for nintendo and sony i.e.

n64 had wrestlemania 2000 psone had smackdown
n64 had no mercy 64 psone had smackdown 2: know your role
gamecube had wrestlemania ones ps2 had smackdown just bring it and here comes the pain
then gamecube had the great Day of Reckoning ones while ps2 had the raw v samckdown ones

etc etc etc

...these were the days man. i just wish with the new release of the nintendo console, it happens again. i doubt it but one can only hope and there is arleast a BIG CHANGE.

...or how about just freakin produce updated version of the no mercy gameplay? but then again, that angine was created by AKI and they dont work for them anymore.

well, the day of reckoning engine is the best one after that i say.

gm mode(make your own brands),create a belt, create a ppv,no lag online,XP points, the download a created wrestler is fine,more updates for the game your dlc in svr 11 was awesome but you stopped supporting it, and other stuff but i'm to lazy

If the name is just WWE 12 i like that name is shorter than Smackdown vs Raw. Hahaha

My concern is this; Usually when companies implement a brand new engine to their game, the special features get lost in translation. Here's hoping the customization and special matches all remain in tact.
