Music is always one of the few genres of games that have either been significantly underappreciated by a majority of the gaming community or created assembly line style only to be run into the ground by money hungry publishers. Pulse seems to land in the former of the two, but for good reason.

Pulse gets its core principles right, but as a fully realized game, the title is somewhat lacking. The concept is cool, but its short campaign and limited mechanical growth makes Pulse feel more like an idea than a fully realized game.
Games like The Unfinished Swan & Beyond Eyes as of recent — though certainly not major hitters — are trying to build foundation and alongside such console releases, the PC-exclusive Pulse follows in as much the same vein.
