Avault: Wednesday App Attack

It was slim pickings in the app department this week, but Avault's Matt Booth managed to find a few games that everyone should enjoy. To bring you guys some of the best apps out there, he went to the iTunes game charts and picked a few out that looked unique and interesting. Typically only one or two keep his interest for more than a few days, but these five are likely to be replayed in the weeks to come.

So this tells me all along it was because of apple that steam was becoming strict with its allowable content. But now that steam stop the practice of censorship and policing content. apple wants nothing to do with them. Well I say good job steam, tell apple to go eat a dick.

Didn’t read the story, did you.

“The change does not void Apple’s long-standing policy that no iOS app may host an app store of its own and allow users to purchase and download software not approved through its own marketplace.”

Many companies have this policy. Apple updated their terms for a possible solution that still allows them to protect iOS, themselves, and their customers.

...Why would Apple have anything to do with Steam policy?

GrimDragon2827d ago

. Steam owner Valve said last week Apple had initially rejected Steam Link, which lets consumers access and stream their PC game library onto a mobile device, due to apparent “business” conflicts.

I did but my comprehension must be lacking. I assumed that this sudden move by apple had to do with steams own policy of letting adult games in their store. Which conflicts with Apple's own policy against it. Hence not being allowed to stream steams library of games on their ios.

What is listed above is a “long-standing policy” which would cover “apparent “business” conflicts” as the way Steam Link works breaks that policy. Again, many platform holders such as Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo don’t want companies selling their goods outside of the network stores.

And despite promises that it would be fixed, 2K never got around to fixing. And according

brich2333323d ago

There is a remaster for pc, I own it. It was actually a free upgrade added automatically to my steam account.

OoglyBoogly3323d ago

If you already owned them.

xX1NORM1Xx3323d ago

8 down votes? Does no one remember how bad the remaster was at launch I know it was a free upgrade but it didn't even work for some people on PC it took massive complaints before they released a patch because they said they weren't going to patch it

Apple are the worst .... My iPod touch 4 Is useless thanks to no updates for the past 3 years .... I understand as things get older you can't support them forever , but this was dumped like a hot potato 2 years after I bought it ... .... Man I paid $299 for it .... It should be supported imo

Maybe if the iOS version wasn't complete garbage it would have done better.

Tennis In The Face Review - Hey Poor Player

Tennis In The Face stars a hasbeen former professional tennis player named Pete Pagassi who is out for revenge on the people who ended his career. In many ways Tennis In The Face follows on quite nicely from one of 10tons other games, the equally bonkers King Oddball, as it’s also a physics based puzzler with huge dollop of humour.
