Glad they're fixing the online its unplayable so im staying away from it until it's patched.

Bnet3435480d ago

I just got off of this game. Yeah man Mortal Kombat is a great game but the online is fucked. The delay really throws off my combos. Reptile FTW. I wouldn't say to stay away from the game. I just play with my friends, that's it.

CernaML5481d ago

Uhhhg... it really shouldn't take this long. I could have sworn I remember reading an article about them saying that they were 100% sure that the game will be absolutely lag free before it launched. Stuff like that makes it harder and harder to trust anyone from the industry these days.

armycore5481d ago

It does make you wonder why the hell they did to test out the online.

Bnet3435480d ago

Every game should have a public beta. Test out the servers and all that garbage before you ship the game. Get feedback and fix your things. Kung Lao, Cyrax, Raiden, I can list a bunch of fighters that need some major tweaking. Reptile FTW suckas.

J@D5481d ago

Well, I was playing yesterday with my college friend online and my combos with Kabal were almost impossible to execute their didnt register at all. He beat me 10 times consecutive!!!! and today we were playing on the same console and he was crying after I kick his ass, I didnt lose one. No lag, no latency xD

I hope this patch make things more stable or im not playing online.

outwar60105480d ago

i dont like how if you do the same attack over and over it does less damage i rely hope they fix that

Kurt Russell5480d ago

It helps to promote learning the game.

Nate-Dog5480d ago

Yup I really don't see the point in just doing the same attack over and over and over. Yeah you can win like that with as much cheapness as possible but man is it boring. I really don't know why some people enjoy spending their good money on games and spending their time online just so they can do that, is it really fun to win that way? I'd rather lose and try and exercise my character and their moves and give a good fight rather than just win cheaply everytime.

swishersweets200315480d ago

yeah lets help promote cheesers who sit in the corner and hold block and spam projectiles. Yeah that really promotes learning.

Kurt Russell5480d ago

swisher are you mental? We were discussing the exact opposite to what you said... We were saying that it's better that you can't sit in a corner and spam a move as there is a decreasing damage cap, instead you need to learn more varied moves.

And wtf is a cheeser anyway?

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde32d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy32d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

Mortal Kombat: Flawless Victory Announced

A new book detailing the artwork of the franchise has been announced

robtion297d ago

Let me fix this title to something less click baity for you:

New Book: Mortal Kombat: Flawless Victory Announced.

Garethvk297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

The description clearly says what it is. It is not like people have to click to the site. They just have to read.

robtion297d ago

Sure they don't have to go to the site but to get to the description they already have to have clicked on it. Thus the term 'click bait'.

Rebel_Scum297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

If its a book say its a book in the article title. Everyone’s gonna think this is a new game and get annoyed reading your description.

Garethvk297d ago (Edited 297d ago )

The Mods had no issues with the title.
The first line under the image says new book and you can see it in the preview windows without even having to click to read the description.

It also says a Visual History on the image.

Rebel_Scum297d ago

On desktop and mobile the text a visual history is not visible in the thumbnail on the homepage.

I grew up on this stuff. Adding it to the art collection!

I do hope the next MK iteration goes back to the core of what made these characters appeal in the first place. A few of them lost their edge - I think I've had enough with some of the auntie designs 😂
