Massively: We reported earlier this week on Hellgate Global's newly minted web presence. As of today it seems that the highway to hell is officially open, as T3Fun has posted a beta signup blurb on the game's forums. Closed beta testing for the resurrected title begins on June 3rd, and GM Verin says "there's going to be enough CBT keys for everyone, so don't worry about not being able to beta test."

Before Flagship Studios, there was Blizzard North. Originally known as Condor, the Redwood-based studio was acquired in 1997 by Blizzard Entertainment. At the time, Blizzard North was hard at work on the development of the game that would be the cornerstone of everything that came after: Diablo.

IGN : Remember Hellgate: London? The dark fantasy action role-playing game came out in 2007 for PC, a year before developer Flagship Studios went bankrupt. Since then, various free-to-play and online revivals have come and gone. Now, 17 years after the release of Hellgate: London, it’s back.
I remember some friends and I all bought Hellgate: London day one because it was made by some original Diablo devs. We had fun playing it, good memories.

PC Invasion: Hellgate: London is back on Steam, but it's not what you expect it to be. It's a single-player game in the vein of Asian MMOs.
Ah I remember this game.
It was like the BRINK of 2007--looked awesome, turned out 'meh'.
i'm actually looking forward to a re-launch of this game, addictive diablo style loot fest, intresting character design, weird brittish humor, all wrapped in a graphical package that looks quite sexy, provided you got a mid-range rig that can max it in dx10.
So I am excited to fire this one up again and sucker a few friends into playing
:)
im with you, I played left4dead for like 30 min. and was freaking bored out of my mind...i put over 50 hours into hellgate just solo, with the re-launch i wanna get my brother playing
