CVG: "As a creative person you need to be able to be bold enough and brave enough to do something different" says Levine. "We kind of knew people would be thrown out of the loop when we announced this game.

Isn't this game coming out next year?

Scrotie_McBoogerball5482d ago

You are right but I wish you where wrong. This games looks great and I can't wait for it.

Raendom5482d ago

Looks like an interesting world but there are so many more I'm looking forward to seeing, Bioshock is one of those games that makes people feel arty for liking a game talking about gene splicing, god, government and sh*t.

I_am_Batman5482d ago

what are the other games you are looking foreward to?

Raendom5482d ago

Seeing at E3? Diablo 3, FFv13, hopefully some first party Nintendo stuff.

I'd say Uncharted 3, Skyrim, Mass Effect, Arkham City, Gears 3 etc but fact is I'd rather PLAY them than SEE them.

So that's where I do give this article credit, I'd rather see 2012 games because sooner or later I'm going to be playing nearly all of them from 2011.

LightofDarkness5482d ago

It doesn't make you feel "arty," not for those reason anyway. It just had a good, well-told story with a surprising twist, mixed with some very entertaining open-ended gameplay mechanics. Plus, outstanding atmosphere. The game didn't succed on pretence, as you seem to think.

I_am_Batman5482d ago

Can't wait for this game. Looks very good til now.

Troll_Police5482d ago

This game is a welcomed change. I think the underwater setting has worn it's welcome with Bioshock 2. Found it at Gamestop last week for $9.99 brand new.

Not by me. I'm infinitely more interested about Skyrim, Uncharted 3 & Battlefield 3.

"And lastly, famous Boston Red Sox pitcher Curt Schilling helped to create the action-RPG’s setting. What’s really fascinating, though, is that the game was partially financed by taxpayers from Rhode Island (which allegedly lost the state millions of dollars). Yikes!"

1. Now infamous Schilling
2. No allegedly, it did. And they couldn't pay it back.
3. What really lost the money wasn't the SP release but the MMO they were working on. This was supposed to be an introduction into the MMO world.

I hate counting limited editions for these lists. I mean, they're made to be rare and expensive. It's far more interesting to hear about the NCAAs (even if most people know that one already) and the El Chavos than some massive hit that came with a $200 statue at retail.

gamerz1030d ago

Me too. Here's the best I can do:

El Chavo Kart $90.14
NCAA Football 14 $87.72
Spiderman: Edge of Time $75.94
Spiderman Web of Shadows $75.09
Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions $67.76

Christopher1030d ago

Wow, El Chavo Kart is not at all what I expected by the name. 100% looks like a Sackboy Kart game.

Soy1030d ago

It's so odd that so many Spider-Man games are seemingly given lower print runs, even if they're not the best games.

jznrpg1030d ago (Edited 1030d ago )

Most Xbox games don’t hold as much value compared to other systems. Kameo, Blue Dragon, Last Remnant , and a handful or 2 of other games that I kept.

Fallout 3 and Bioshock Infinite are the rarest games of all time.

8 Best Games Set In A Multiverse

One of the biggest TV and movie tropes in the last decade has been the multiverse, the idea of exploring multiple dimensions to uncover alternate versions of existing ideas. From both a business and creative perspective, it makes sense why established franchises are shaking things up in this way.

However, there aren't many video games latching on to this trend, as rendering multiple worlds in real-time is a difficult feat and the medium is relatively young in comparison to its contemporaries, making crossover opportunities more difficult. Still, there are a few great titles that manage enough to overcome these challenges, and here are some of the best examples.

While I love someone mentioning Planescape, not really multiverse. Planes and dimensions, yes. But, they are typically their own locations and are very rarely tied to another 'verse' let alone another plane. The only things that are directly tied are the ethereal and material planes. Otherwise, they are dimensions created of their own design and goals by the creator/owner and not comprised of 'their own version of another dimension'.
