Is dead or alive noob friendly, Im not that great at fighting games, but need new game for my 3DS

Lethaltare5486d ago

I would say so, it's very easy to pull of combos and win fights. Online will obviously be a tad different but I say pick it up!

Very excited to get this game when it's released! This game was the main reason I purchased a 3DS on launch day!

Video: Under appreciated 3DS Games

The 3DS has an extensive library of games, but due to the consoles low sales initially, a lot of great games flew under the radar of most gamers. Fear not though, as Shawn Long of Nintendo Enthusiast takes a look at some under appreciated 3DS releases from the earlier years of it’s life that you should be sure to check out. Whether you enjoy a good platformer, fighting game, or 3D adventure, there should be something for every 3DS owner to consider in this video.

Good choices. I didn't know the 3DS version of Sonic Gen had different levels than the console versions.

A recent history of self censorship and the demonisation of sex in the west

Digitally Downloaded writes: "It's nothing new that games and sex have been a controversial mix when it comes to the games industry. From the earliest days of Leisure Suit Larry, the mere suggestion of sexual activity within a game has been enough to court the ire of both the community and the censors or classification boards of various markets."

I don't own a handheld console, but lately I have been thinking of buying a Vita or 3DS. I am going to get PS4 on launch day, so should I buy a Vita or 3DS?

rambi804628d ago

i have both and they offer very different experiences, both good in their own right.

I would go vita in your situation because of remote play, cheaper software prices and the games that come with PSplus.

But if you really love nintendo games and love platformers...then 3DS. Not many companies make platformers anymore.

jeffgoldwin4628d ago

Don't buy either unless you do a lot of gaming on the go.

Especially compared with ps4 next gen console, youll just be disappointed every time you go to play something on a micro screen.

Based on sales numbers and games available.
I think 3DS is better.

Yea buying a system based on sales. Sounds brilliant I might add.. /s.

I own a PS3, PS Vita, Wii U and 3DS, I had a Xbox 360 but I only enjoyed a few games, I got tired of playing the same games and I realized most the games I was playing on 360 were just multiplats anyway.

Some of those things might not be selling so well, sure, doesn't mean I am not enjoying them. Sales are never a factor in anything I purchase.

I mean seriously who gets all excited about a new systems. Walks into a store or is about to buy it online and thinks to themselves.. Hmm I wonder how many units they have sold.. Any other person in their right mind would just be thinking about how much fun they are going to be having with it not about sales figures.

3DS XL + Fire Emblem Awakening = 150+ hours of quality gameplay

Bhuahahaha4628d ago

animal crossing will add more

then we'll gonna get pokemon x y and rune factory4

supersonicjerry4628d ago

Vita! unless you're a huge pokemon fan because I only own a 3ds because of pokemon. 3ds has some games little to none in my opinion though. if it wasn't for pokemon I would own a vita.

Blacktric4628d ago (Edited 4628d ago )

3DS. Vita still needs a lot more killer apps to become a viable purchase in my opinion. With 3DS, you'll have access to crap ton of great 3DS games like Monster Hunter 3: Ultimate, Etrian Odyssey IV, Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario Kart 7 and Fire Emblem: Awakening while also having access to all DS and DSi games.

"Don't buy either unless you do a lot of gaming on the go."

Is that why some of the handheld games, especially the ones on the 3DS, ends up having more substance than just style? Come on...

"3ds has some games little to none in my opinion though"

Seeing the 3DS as nothing more than a Pokemon machine is ignorance at its finest.

PrimeGrime4628d ago (Edited 4628d ago )

If you asked me, you basically just answered your own question. They are both awesome handhelds, I don't care what anyone says, they both have plenty of great games also but the fact you are getting a PS4 on launch it would just make sense to get a Vita to me.

Or if that doesn't help at all. You should just be looking at each systems games and features. Pick based on what games you currently are more interested in or what features you would get more use out of right now.

People can tell you which is better or list off games they think you should buy it for but in reality, it should be what you want it for. Not what others want.
