The PS3 has yet to start manufacture and it's nearly September. 360 started early August. Sony has to launch in Australia as well this time and and in early november. If you don't think Sony will comprimise Quality over quantity then you are a fool. Sony will be pushing their grills out at a supersonic speed to get them out.Just like Microsoft did. Plus they'll want to eat into as much as Microsoft's lead as possible. Plus the PS3 is even more complex to build than 360. So, who are you foolin?

Yes, the Inquirer is trash, but the RSX, pending further news (because it's still subject to change mind you), has been downgraded.

I don't think that it's that big of a deal performance wise. What's more than a little scary is that Sony is changing hardware specs 2 months before launch. I would think that they would have settled on the final product by now.

RSX yes it matters. Sony always overpromisses and underdelivers. When do you open your eyes? Things are always more beautifull then they are in the end in real life. Like the PS2 would be 10x more powerfull as Gamecube/XBOX. Now the PS3 would be 2 x as powerfull as 360. All bull, all lies. Why aren't the real specs of RSX not officially brought out by Sony? Because they can't put up higher numbers then the 360's GPU. The TFLOP story? PS2 was useless, PS3 TFLOP will be useless.

About the online service. Indeed, I think premium has to be paid also. But they lie about it again by giving info it is free but are not saying what exactly. That's just Sony.

Ok well, considering that there isnt that much of a difference in power between the Xbox 360 and PS3, what will reducing the power do? Im in future shop today, and they are selling a blu-ray player for $1200.00. Nothing special about it, no extra features, just plays blu-ray & dvd.

Ok first off the 360 is going through the growing pains of a new console getting games that are old-gen that companies want to make sorta next-gen with better graphics so they can make a market share, if the PS3 was first they would have a slew of games that were only graphical upgrades from the PS2, and they most certainly still will, but not as badly as the Xboc 360 had, it's simply because not all studios are ready to switch fully to next gen hardware permanently, but their much closer now than they were when the 360 was released. It's really weird that you try to make points by picking out games that are multi-platform with old-gen systems, what would you expect? If you look at the games that are coming out now that are strictly 360 and ONLY 360 developed games their increasingly getting better scores and much better in quality in all aspects from graphics to gameplay. Anything on the PS3 can't escape the fact they have been working in some sort of fashion on these games since the ps3 was announced, don't deny it. The launch games on the PS3 are definetly going to be much more quality than any 360 launch game, most of them are not old-gen mock-ups, but games built on the PS3. That's not Microsofts or the 360's fault, that's simply the way the gaming market works. Look at Ghost Recon, Prey, Saints Row, Dead Rising, Test Drive, and of course Gears of War, and games in the future and judge the system on that, not some sad launch lineup that you jotted down that were only graphical increases...This is not an excuse for some lackluster games the 360 has had, but many of those were released in the first 7-8 months which is hardly the time to judge a console and say "yeah it sucks"

I've had all the sytems from starting from the early days of nintendo. I've been playing games longer than the 10 year olds on this board. Some "Fanboys" only been around for the "Playstation ERA" while others been playing games from the start. Eventually I could see myself getting a PS3 cause of certain games I've played on sony's last generation of consoles. Not that some of these games are "breathtaking" in gameplay just "updated graphics."

YES, I could see myself being a sucker just for them games...but I also like some games on the 360 and I think it's a better value for me right now. Yes Wii will be right next to it. As most late 80's/early 90's gamers are nostalgic and will want to play Zelda.

I just can't be a sucker for all other things sony is claiming to console to be and why we need it, cause all of it is really not needed now. If they had put a DVD drive it would of made more sense, since people hardley have HDTV's and some don't even have Broadband. That is why they say "sony" forgot about its true gamers and well not the hardcore ones(or fanboyfanatics). You'll be hardpressed not to find gamers that share the same view. I don't care what you or your mama buys ya. Spend your money how you want.
