Urgent Message For Brink ATI Users

"All ATI users (myself included) have felt the pangs of poor optimization during our Brink playtime since it released this past week.

"After scrounging the internet for a solution to this madness, I stumbled upon something quite ridiculous.

"How would you like to know that you can fix these issues RIGHT NOW?

"In fact, you could have had this ready since the day BEFORE Brink came out!"

this is old news...we've known about this hotfix since tuesday. also, it doesn't completely fix the issues. the game runs like crap cuz it was made like crap.

EDIT: what is up with all the disagrees i've been getting for brink on various threads? is there a troll group out there in support of brink? it's TERRIBLE! the developer/publisher should be ashamed of themselves for releasing this game. i wouldn't have enjoyed it in the previous generation. AND, it's full price! i could see if it were a 15 dollar game or something.

1. Brink is made by Bethesda a.k.a. Bugthesda so there is obviously gonna be a problem.

2. The hotfix was in place before the game got released. Next time pay attention to your drivers.

3. Brink sucks anyway. save that $50 for The Witcher 2 in 2 days.

i actually managed to talk steam into crediting me for Brink because it's so awful and broken. So Witcher 2, here i come!

i agree with atielite, if you are torn between brink and witcher 2, do yourself a favor, skip brink.

in defense of bethesda though, they didn't make the game...just published it.

1. It's a PC launch. Most PC games have issues on launch. Brink isn't as bad considering Homefront, BlackOps, and BadCompany2 had rougher launches on PC. Among them, only BC2 runs decent for me now (unless on rare occasions when PC rears its ugly head)

2. Some users are reporting better performance with older drivers. Fridays patch fixed things for a lot of people, but some still have performance problems.
Most people who are still suffering from performance have tried all sorts of driver combination. Disabling shadows seems to help though.

3. That's a matter of opinion. Although Witcher and Brink are two completely different games. Not really much competition between them.
