theyve totaly tried copying the ps3 one without making it too obvious.cant beleive its took microsoft 5 years to bring out a gun

Shnazzyone5507d ago

Sony totally copied the wiimote and the innumerable worthless plastic snap in garbage made for that so i doubt they are going to be that bothered if anyone makes comparisons.

sony gun = lol

Microsoft gun = desperate

rezzah5507d ago

Sony's gun makes sense, Wii's gun doesn't.

Wii = Slip in the controller and nothing changes.

Sony = Slip in the controller and the button layout changes to suit the wielder of the gun. Replicating a real one in it's own way.

Though I doubt you'd understand since you basically see it only as a blatant rip off.

Every Playstation fanboy is secretly a Nintendo fanboy! Ps1 started out as Super Nintendo CD. But issues between the two companies forced a split, so Sony made a console.

They have been copying Nintendo since the beginning. The original Ps1 controller is a SNES with handles and 2 extra bumpers. Because it was designed for Nintendo, we were able to get all those games that Playstation fanboys feel entitled to such as MGS and FF.

They stuck close to the same formula of copying everything Nintendo does from the rumble pack all the way up to Move! It wasn't until the Ps3 that Sony tried to break off entirely and play the leader, but things didn't work out and they went back to copying big brother... Hell, they even try to copy MS from time to time!

So if you feel good about MS copying a gun, go right ahead if it makes you feel secure.

"They stuck close to the same formula of copying everything Nintendo does from the rumble pack all the way up to Move!"

Nintendo kids make me laugh. Rumble is hardly original. It was done in stand up arcade cabinet games years before nintendo thought of it.

As far as wii mote like controls go, Xavix came out with it 2 full years before the wii was on the market:

They all copy each other, people just pay attention when Sony does it, what about Xbox and the Dreamcast? Kinect and Eyetoy? They all copy each other, it's called evolution, one company comes out with something, then the next company makes it better.

saoco5507d ago

@AAACE5

you got the story half right. you forgot to mentions how sony spent so much on R&D and suddenly Nintendo said they didnt want a cd based system anymore, sony even took them to court.

just use that link if you want to well informed.

ChickeyCantor5507d ago (Edited 5507d ago )

@saoco

It wasn't "suddenly".

Sony also wanted to own all rights to their IPs.

Or so they say.
There are tons of reasons out there why they broke contract.

This will look great next to your fake plastic guitar, drums, keyboard, turntable, skateboard, and other fake plastic guns for all the other systems.

Soldierone5507d ago

But...it works with Cabela's game! thats like the best game ever made! lol (sarcasm of course)

ZBlacktt5507d ago

Yeah, I just got the game itself. Don't care to turn my game PS3 into a Wii. When I already have 2 Wii's and a Kinect for this kinda stuff.

Vitalogy5507d ago

And why is this article in PS3 section!? Go figure the constant seek of attention...

ZBlacktt5507d ago

Saw this at Gamestop tonight. I bought this very game there too, lol. Been playing all night. But I got it for my PS3 instead.

Kotick Made $155 million from MS in the buyout, the little b*tch needs to stop whining. Thanks to this Microslop deal and massive industry consolidation thousands upon thousands of devs and other workers lost their livelihoods. This greedy piggie pervert needs shut up and f-off.

Microsoft needs to listen or risk irreparable harm to Call of Duty

Windows Central: "The money may keep rolling in, but Microsoft is the custodian of one of the biggest selling video game series in history. If something doesn't change, I fear we'll reach a breaking point and irreparable damage will have been done."

Because ms is so good at managing studios, surely they will get it right

:P

franwex191d ago

In my view, they should probably merge MP with Warzone and essentially make it free to play like Halo Infinite. The campaign/zombies mode can be $30 yearly DLC. I know this would be insanity as most COD players essentially pay the full price of the game simply for the MP. However-with a shrinking player base they may have to consider it. Making it free would bring in a ton of players.

Profchaos191d ago

To late MW3 should have been a lesson but here we are two years later with a steaming pile a shite called blops7

Halo killer once arrived and technically call of duty killer also arrived, its name is Fortnite

dveio191d ago

Call of Duty was riding the revenue horse and charts for ~20 years. Whether undeserved or deserved.

But I endorse everyone to remind you that Microsoft could have decided differently when they took it over.

The money was certainly there, and they could have taken their time revamping the franchise:

Current-gen tech, manageable microtransactions, not imitating Fortnite and returning to core values of the franchise's origin.

They didn't.

Let's see next year. Hopefully without the then 13 years old PS4 and One hardware.

blacktiger190d ago

you need to stop saying "let see next year"
