After Samus and MC scrapped, we showed you how billionaire superheroes get down when Batman took on Iron Man. After Bats was done with Stark n' Suit, Iron Man was reduced to a Shell of a man.
Now, for the third in the series, we present: Link vs. Cloud. It's Nintendo's most beloved vs. Square Enix's finest. We're sensing another hard-fought war along party lines… so let's introduce the competitors and get this thing started!
But BG2 didn't emerge in a vacuum, and in a recent chat with Slandered Gaming it emerged that—while we can thank BG2 for a lot of our favourite RPGs since—we have a whole other game to thank for BG2. That'd be Final Fantasy 7, which lit a fire under BG2 director James Ohlen to go all out with the game's structure and companions, per Trent Oster—who worked on the original Baldur's Gate and has since become CEO of Beamdog, the studio behind the BG1 and BG2 Enhanced Editions.
Baldurs Gate 1&2 were my games back in the day on PC. Icewindale and Neverwinter Nights as well
Square Enix has announced multiple classic Final Fantasy titles will receive physical releases this December;including Final Fantasy VII, VIII and IX.

Why can’t they just do a cool classic collection with VII, VIII and IX in with some goodies similar to what they did with the Pixel Remaster.
I would honestly go for a Remaster Collection, just AI upscale some textures (there are really good fan mods for that), widescreen everything where possible, higher native resolution, etc...
It seems like a no-brainer to make such a large portion of what was FF's golden age into a collection of it's own.
Weird that 7 and 8 are together for 40 and 9 is 40 on it's own.
8 should be the one on it's own as it actually has redone models.
I have ff8 ps4 remastered physical euro version. They should have put these on PS5 physically so lame.
I'm actually so tired of hearing about FFIX. Just replayed it with Moguri Mod earlier this month. That might as well be the definitive version.

As much as people love Link I don't think he has a chance. It's going to be a beatdown. Cloud is a beast in AC. If Cloud can beat arguably the greatest villain of all time, he can whoop Link's little elven a$$.
is it just me, or did they really gay up cloud in their description of him?? I don't think of his man-beauty, but his bad A buster sword!! Ign what the heck... Who wrote this??
Well, at least this article is better written that that "Master Chief beats all" article that got posted a few weeks ago (Too lazy to find the link). I think reading it actually killed some brain cells.
I'll can jump the debacle. Cloud would give Link a beat down. I can't beleive Link is winning with 65% on ign! I am assuming materia is fair ground, as Link would have his hookshot, bow and boomerang. Did anyone say "knights of the round"?

Link because while Cloud goes to deliver Omnislash Link's Triforce slash stops you completely then he goes berserk with a barrage of slashes and the last attack of the Triforce Slash Link does the Ultimate Spin Attack (U.S.A.)
