No, single player games will always be around; at the same time though it seems as if developers are focusing way too much on online gaming than single player which is probably why a lot of games released have low quality campaigns.

I rarely touch the multiplayer in games I get bored and go back to the single player which I find more fun. It is a bit odd I know but I never saw the attraction.

PSN for me is used to compare trophies with other people and see who has the most single player ones. Add me when the network is fixed.
