Gameplayer examines what has made Halo one of the biggest brands in entertainment. The article includes interviews with Epic Games and Bungie staff, as well as an in-depth look at the history of Bungie, the narrative, merchandise and future of Halo.
"Halo has become the keystone of Microsoft's venture into the world of games. Some might argue that the console wouldn't have been as half as successful if it didn't have Halo as the big gun in its arsenal. But after just three games, why has the Halo brand struck a chord that resonates so loudly we now have comics, books, T-shirts, soundtracks, beach towels, licence plates and even a planned movie to be directed by Peter 'Lord of the Rings' Jackson?"

Remakes of the campaigns featured in Xbox Game Studios' Halo 2 and Halo 3 are currently in development, according to a new rumor.
That's Microsoft's gaming division for you...kill off developers making new ip while trying to capitalize off some long lost glory that has no hope of ever being what it once was thanks to recent decision making favoring unrealistic profit goals and greed. What a joke.
So what’s their solution to having multiplayer? Wait until Halo 7?
That was one of the most memorable parts of Halo..
Why not just port the MCC? 🤔 That was the easiest layup ever and you completely missed it
I wonder if Microsoft will port Reach over to Playstation I quite enjoyed that game. I played Halo 3 and it was not bad I have Halo 2 on the OG Xbox I just need some cables to hook up to my tv to play it.

Glenn Israel writes: "As of today and after seventeen long years, I am officially no longer contributing to the Halo universe. There is little more I can say for the moment, though I intend to share this particular story in its entirety when it is absolutely safe to do so next year. In the meantime, I have a message for anyone and everyone who needs to hear it.
I know that the state of our industry seems dire, but never forget that you are *free to choose*. No illusion of security nor promise of wealth or fame or power is worth trading away your health, your dignity, your ethics or values - and no one can force you to. Stay strong, take evidence when necessary, and find where you belong."
He said something very marking . We tend to complain a lot about the industry but deep down I realize that we never have we been offered this crazy amount of games all available for you to play now . You can literally play any sorts of games in 2025 . Nobody is forcing you to buy the latest COD or the latest BF . You’re more of a 8 bit cozy gaming guy there’s a whole niche of modern games for that . You like micromanaging there’s games for that . I feel like we have been spoiled so much we just stopped being realistic and thinking for ourselves . We follow trends cry about stuff online when you are the buyer you have the power .
....wth happened over there?
Does this confirm a new Halo by next year?
What did they want him to do that made him feel it was morally wrong or a insult to his integrity?
Well how about that, a name change doesn’t fix internal issues
Who would have thought

GOG appears to be teasing potential re-releases of Konami's survival horror game, Silent Hill, and Xbox Game Studios' Halo: Combat Evolved.
It's crazy to think that GOG will have Silent Hill 1/2/4, Dino Crisis 2, and Resident Evil 2/3 before the PSN. What the actual fudge is Sony even doing over there?
I will probably pick up Silent Hill 1 right away if GOG gets it, I grabbed BOF4 as soon as it was released, haven't picked up Dino Crisis yet since I already bought it on PS.
More than any game for the 360 past, present, or future. Halo 3 is the biggest reason many people bought the console. I didnt own Halo 1 or Halo 2 when I had my original Xbox. Wasnt really a big console FPS fan because I had a good PC.
I bought the 360 because it was affordable, and it came out a year before the competiton. I must say the 360 did not disappoint. Halo 3 is a great game and that along with games like Warhawk for the PS3 and Battlefield for the 360 have made me come to appreciate FPS on consoles.
I played all three Halo games, they just got better with each game, although the end of halo 2 was gutting...
If you can avoid the mountain dew-ites on live and get a good group of friends together, Halo 3 is AMAZING. I cant stop playing the damn thing.
