Dealspwn: 'So yesterday it was announced that Mass Effect 3 would be pushed back to Q1 2012, and there was much sadness across the interwebs. But there was also an audible sigh of relief from some quarters, particularly here. You see, we suspect that a delay means good things not just for this third instalment in the series but for us gamers too. An uncluttered calendar is a happy calendar! Here are a few reasons why we think it’s not such a bad thing after all…'

One of the best things about the Mas Effect series is the companions you meet along the way. So here is a tier list of all the companions from Mass Effect!
To think that Bioware at some point was capable of doing games like this, you see those characters and remember them like good old friends, and now check ME Andromeda, Anthem, Veilguard etc and wonder what the hell happened.

Based on one narratively fitting ending in Mass Effect 3, Prothean squadmate Javik is highly unlikely to return in the next Mass Effect game.
He was one of my least favorite characters. I wish they would have done the Proths different.

My wallet can breathe a little bit now.
Its a great thing . . . too many great games are released from October-Christmas.
This gives us all a chance to hammer out all the great games this fall and holiday season, then be able to enjoy Mass Effect 3 in a time when few games are being released.
I wish publishers would space out big releases more evenly. I also think it would help the overall sales across the board. Not many people can buy 5-6 games a month from fall to Christmas.
It gives Bioware time to polish the game, and that can't be a bad thing, right? obviously, I'd love to play ME3 right now, but I'd rather Bioware take the time to make this one of the best experiences ever.
Also, it gives me more time to play games like Uncharted 3 and R3 at the end of the year too.
This probably saved my marriage given Skyrim and ME3 were supposed to be out in holiday.
I never said it was a bad thing in the first place. Technically I don't need Mass effect this year really anyway. just try to play ElderScrolls Sky Rim While your friends are sending you annoying invites to play Modern Warfare 3 While also realizing you told you're friends you were gonna meet up with them in Gears Of War. its ridiculous.
