You are a complete moron people have every right to be mad when their electronic devices fail due to bad design. Why should you praise a GROL when thats how they should be in the first place. When customers spend their hard earned money on a piece of technology and it fails they have every right to be angry same with PS3 and Wii users. So why do you find it necessary to attack people who are just frustrated Microsfts box has design faults that give it an unacceptable failure rate. My 360 has never gone out in the year I have owned it, but thats what I expected when I bought the damn thing and will not praise Microsoft for my 360 working.

sounds more like political propaganda really, when an issue isnt going away they try and change it to seem more positive. look the xbox has an amazing library of games but in this instance "you reap what you sow" microsoft knew that a higher than normal failure rate was possible when they rushed the xbox out to get a lead start.

So even if we are all tired of hearing these stories they are legitimate complains from people due to the quality of the product. Companies need to be held accountable both image wise and financially, So that they know not to rush a product again.

with all consoles if a person receives defective hardware they make a thread about it. it just hasnt ever been in such great numbers before. im in a couple other game forums and when a ps3 or wii is faulty people DO post about it, the difference is with the 360 its about a 50 to 1 ratio because of the extremely high failure rate. luckily with the new falcon chip and other hardware adjustments the 360 will be A LOT more dependable. by the end of next year the RROD will be a thing of the past. MS spent a lot of money dealing with the problem but in the long run it should be worth it.

I can see that it's still won't change anything people will still defect to buying a PS3 soon when the price become competitive and also with high profile games coming. X-box 360 is still has an issue of RROD and not easy to say that no one is fear of RROD when they turn on their x-box 360, this is still an issued which M$ can never denied

Ten bucks say the person who thought of this is a Microsoft employee. Anyone who's owned the 360 for longer than half a year knows what it's like to get the red ring. And once you get it once, you'll get it again and again because they keep sending you refurbished consoles instead of new ones. Last time it took 2 months to get my 3-sh*tty back.

I'm honestly on my 7th Xbox 360 from launch. I've had problems with both Premium and Elite systems. Whether it was RRoD or Disc Read Errors, I've had 360 after 360 die on me. My luck with the console is horrible.

I still have my launch PS2 and Xbox, and my PS3 and Wii are both running fine. This is the only console I've had problems with (other than the Sega Genesis that got thrown across the room by my cousin many years ago).

I'm on my 503° Xbox360 now, one was alive and tried to kill my family but most of the others only had RROD .. (Love how people increase the numbers exponencially in their hoaxes, like 10yo kids.)

I have only ever seen one 360 with red ring of death and it was at future shop, and i know lots of people who play the hell out of their console. I never thought it was a big deal, can i see some references that indicate otherwise. Thank you

As long as we're making up things out of thin air for the 360, how about they create the "BROS".....the Brown Ring of Sh*t! It'll show up on people's 360's when they're posting in online forums while having their heads up their own asses.

Pretty funny, considering that's what my young son says when I turn on the system. He's also seen two red rings (out of my five total consoles).

The 360's hardware problems are well-documented to the nth degree, but I do have to say this...a working 360 is an impressive piece of hardware, with some fantastic games, and the best online service out there.

People should be able to do what they have to vent or get advice from other gamers rather it be on the phone with MS or on a forum posting a new thread. This is a true slap in the face to the 360 Bretheren who has been exposed to RROD.

Not every 360 bricks but show some respect to the people that RROD has happened to.

You should be uniting to create a post that voices your concern to MS and stop being such puppets. Not only are you saying its ok for MS to sale us bricks but lets also schit on the 360 owners who had this happen and say fugk their issues because our 360's are fine.

Well, I have heard about lots of RROD and experienced it myself. The funny part was that I only had about 50 hours of play on Oblivion (total for the system) when it died. I bought the system in March 07.

So my point is, good for your GROL, but I still feel like the RROD is a major problem. Why else would ms extend the warranty to 3 yrs for the problem? Obviously it was widespread, and they realized they had to do something before they had an even worse PR disaster on their hands.

I'm glad that they fixed my box, but since it was broken it prevented me from buying Bioshock when it launched (in for repairs). Now that I'm back in school for the year I no longer have the time or the money to buy it...... RROD thanks for helping me save money.

I had the GROL for since March of 06' with no problems yet.
I brought a Core system then added the pieces on and Luckily i had no problems. I do get the freezes once and a while when i rock for 2 long but its windows based so that gonna happen. as far a i know when i brought it from a Hole in the whole Korean store in brooklyn the dude was salivating at the mouth to sell it to me for 350$ rather than 299$ (No tax.) Oddily enough the box was perfect at the edges showing signs of no tossing, Fall damage and a Overshield. That sh1t works like a charm still with no signs of slowing down.

I don't turn the system sideways, I keep the industrial strength house fan in its direction, Don't tilt it and i don't let no one near that sh1t.

I have a launch console and mine is still running strong. I think it is because I got the warranty on it. If I didn't get the warranty it would have died... that's the way it goes.

RIGHT NOW I JUST SENT IN MY 360 AGAIN CAUSE THE DRIVE GRINDS. DURING THE SUMMER SAME THING HAPPENED AND I SENT IT IN THEN. BEFORE THAT I SENT IT IN AGAIN. BEFORE THAT I HAD A CORE AND I SENT IT IN CAUSE IT WAS FREEZING ALOT, BEFORE THAT I SENT IN MY CORE BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS BREAKING ON ME. IVE SENT IN MY 360 LIKE 8 TIMES I SWEAR TO GOD. BUT I DONT CARE BECAUSE 360 IS SO SICK. I LOVE HALO3 WITH MY HOMIES AND IT SUX I GOTTA SEND IT BACK NOW. LUCKILY ILL GET IT BACK BEFORE COD4, ASSASSINS CREED, ARMY OF TWO, AND MASS EFFECT COME OUT. anywayz if they made me pay for the repairs i would never buy anything from ms again but since i dont i could care less. im failing my classes because of these great games and i need 3 weeks to study for upcomin midterms so thank you ms for makin a crappy console that i have to fix therefore i can get good grades and a great starting salary.

Let me just say that I agree. However, when EVERY single person who has a system problem makes a new thread (or in many cases multiple threads) about it, it gets a bit tiresome & puts a downturn in the overall mood of the whole forum.

The point of GROL is NOT to disparage those who have been unfortunate enough to experience the RROD; the point is for those of us who have not had it to enjoy voicing the fact that we're enjoying our 360's and want to give the forums a more positive vibe.

Why are those who have had the RROD 'threatened' by those of us who want to express our joy that our system hasn't had any problems?

That's all this is about - NOT about 'bashing' those who've had problems. Get it?
