Chances are you never played the X-COM series. Some of you may have never even heard of the series until recently. And that, my friends, is what I call an injustice.
X-COM is a series dealing in the popular alien invasion sci-fi topic, and is known for delivering players a great deal of unique gameplay options and pushing the boundaries of what a tactical game could accomplish in the 90’s.

nice. waiting to see what mafia 2 and spec ops the line has too offer. not into rts games, so civ 5 not for me, and not too familiar with x-com series.
COG: A group of industry veterans from the XCOM franchise have teamed up to launch the new turned-based tactics studio Bit Reactor.
From the *new* Xcom franchise. The original was developed by Julian Gollop and Mythos games. He is currently in charge of Snapshot games and his latest take on Xcom was Phoenix Point.
I'm all for more tactics games. played Phoenix Point on Game Pass (ended up purchasing it), it's good...but doesn't have that same XCOM 2 feeling. Would love to see what these guys have to offer
I'm sorry but I can't help but hate this game. I have been waiting patiently for 10 years for a new Xcom game and, as a huge fan of the series, I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I was when they announced it was going to be yet another FPS game.
They can try and make it true to the xcom franchise by including a world map and research etc but at the end of the day they have turned one of the best turn based strategy games ever into more pew pew pew.
I apologise again for the hate but I just had to get that out there. There's a good chance that this might be a decent game but it will NEVER be an Xcom in the eyes of the fans.
Why?
Why are you making another X-Com only to turn it into a Bioshock clone?
Why are you tainting the name of a once-great franchise even further than what's already been done?
Just...Why?
the screen look like PS2 era stuff. Once again, X-Com game is fxxk up.
