And Sony has lost even more because of this.

Blad3star5495d ago

True but Sony can afford a hit like this while a small companies cant.

Its not Sony's fault but I hope Sony is looking into how this is effecting those small companies and how they can help them.

All hackers do is cause problems for everybody, they are against all things good in this industry. I really want to see someone come out and support them after all that went down...

LOGICWINS5495d ago (Edited 5495d ago )

Your forgetting that there are two types of hackers:

White hats that help the NSA catch bad guys

Black hats- the bad guys

Learn the difference.

As far as this fiasco is concerned, I don't condone the actions of ANYONE who ruins my gaming experience over something petty.

However, I don't condone a lot of Sony's decisions this past month either. In the beginning of April, Anonymous threatened to hack Sony's infastructure(Threat #1). THEN, they even went as far as to bring down NOT ONLY Sony.com, but MULTIPLE Sony sites for a while(Threat #2).

THEN Sony, a multi-BILLION dollar company allows a group of teens living in their mothers basements to hack PSN a SECOND time after they did a DDOS attack on April 4th on the same system(Threat #3)

THREE serious hack threats in ONE month..and PSN STILL gets hacked

Is it just me, or is that just balls out ridiculous?

zoks3105495d ago (Edited 5495d ago )

It is ridiculous, but one thing your example have in common are hackers, there was no way in hell DOS attack would make Sony beef up their security.
A dosa is different than a hack of this magnitude.
Also the entire world knows by now that anon would not have done such a thing as far reaching as this, they care more about being seen in good light than to go out and bring down the PSN and steal gamers info.

So dont forget who did this, the point is some of you hacker supports need to stop spinning this around, case in point, i dont see any hacker coming out and saying this was wrong and that they will help Sony and gamers out and maybe help catch the people that did this. At least point in the right direction. So with that i say they are all the same, all malicious dickheads. I mean where is anon and geohotz with there "fighting for your rights" BS???
Now we need them on our side and where are they?
This proves that hackers (ALL OF THEM) are all full of shit and that they are against the gamers and in this case developers interest.

LOGICWINS5495d ago (Edited 5495d ago )

"I mean where is anon and geohotz with there "fighting for your rights" BS???

LMAO, why in the hell would Geohot attempt to help a company who took him to court?

"This proves that hackers (ALL OF THEM) are all full of shit and that they are against the gamers and in this case developers interest.'

So because hackers aren't trying to help gamers, that means they're AGAINST gamers? I guess since Microsoft isn't helping Sony find the hackers that did this, there against gamers too.

Ur point makes no sense. DUDE, don't you know that Sony probably has a team of HACKERS(the ones that are "full of shit") trying to figure out whats going on as we speak?

C'mon bro.

zoks3105495d ago (Edited 5495d ago )

@Logicwins
use your brain for 1 second, if i made no sense then get your mom to read what i wrote to you out loud, maybe that will help.
And im not your bro.

zoks3105495d ago

Anger, what name so?
More like sick, cynical, raging lunatic, you got a problem with that?

DWOM5495d ago (Edited 5495d ago )

Are they saying this becaue they couldn't sale the product through psn or because they need to pay for the hold of the release??

ionlyneedonebubble5495d ago

Im not supporting the hackers or sony... it just sucks we have to go through it.

Look I know VIII has its issues and all that but how on earth can the do big anniversary events with new artwork and merchandise for VII, IX and X yet VIII got sweet f*** all.

They could have given it something during its 25th anniversary yet all it got was a single Happy Anniversary post on their social media.

solideagle15d ago

they should know that we are OG fans of VIII as it sold truckload as well. not as much as VII or X. I personally didn't like IX but X and VI are my personal fav.

Shadow Hearts 2 covenant is another game I love. I hope one day someone can make remake, I would be delighted

Final Fantasy VIII is great and you are always the first to defend it in the comments

"Gaming’s Biggest Fighting Franchise"

Press X to (seriously) doubt.

DarXyde22d ago

Underrated comment. I used to hate that game so much that any time my siblings asked me to play it, I just picked Hom and shut myself down mid-match.

Soy22d ago

And then MK1 killed it again.

15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

PlayStation legend Shuhei Yoshida says Jim Ryan fired him because he didn't listen to him

Why did Sony push Shuhei Yoshida out of his role leading PlayStation's first-party games? He'd overseen some huge successes. Well, apparently, he didn't listen.

Yeah I can see that for sure. Shuhei Yoshida should have been in charge not Jim Ryan.

Cacabunga23d ago

It should be free highway for him now.. but Sony are too stupid to see this, especially that moron Hulst

S2Killinit23d ago (Edited 23d ago )

Wtf why all that anger. PlayStation is dominating on every level. Besides I think there is a little more to hiring a CEO than just who is available. Its not like its a athlete your team wants to buy.

neutralgamer199223d ago

S2Killinit

live service failures, chasing trends, closing studios. yes dominating

Cacabunga23d ago

Sony is Dominating because competition is not existing. Compared to previous gens this is the poorest in terms of software offerings.

Last gen we got Uncharted 4 Lost Legacy and TLOU2 from ND alone.

This is so far a remasters gen, with no competition to lift up the quality

1nsomniac23d ago (Edited 23d ago )

..."PlayStation is dominating on every level"....

...Really???

PlayStation are soon heading into a new generation in the not to distant future. They currently have the worst customer satisfaction they've ever sustained as a company. The company is heading for a huge crash while at the same time they'll need to be planning how they are going to try and win back that favour and the build up to their new releases.

Yes financially they're winning but they're going to have to ride out this complete public corporate disaster. No one has faith in the company or the product anymore. They've damaged their public image so much this generation. Greed can kill anyone.

medman22d ago

Hulst is a disaster......

He would've done the same thing and fire Jim Ryan and Shuhei would be the villain. Why?
Because Elite creates the narrative and distraction for gamers, users and citizens.

Outside_ofthe_Box23d ago

More confirmation that Jim Ryan is the culprit for what has happened to Sony. Hulst needs to go too. What sucks is that a lot of the good top heads at Sony are no longer there. I wish that guys that were forced out prematurely by Dumbo Jimbo like Shuhei and Layden came back.

robtion22d ago

Yep. Yoshida was responsible for bringing one of the best games of this generation to playstation (Stellar Blade). He is an actual gamer and is in touch with what gamers want (creative, fun games, not GaaS and agenda pushing). He also seems like a genuinely nice guy if you watch some interviews. Of course they got rid of him.

darthv7223d ago

Makes you wonder if MS even thought about hiring him after Phil and Sarah were leaving. He certainly couldn't make their situation any worse.

Agent7523d ago

Microflop. After Windows XP and Xbox 360, it all went floppy.

S2Killinit23d ago

Floppy 😆
No pun intended

badz14923d ago

Yoshida for President! Jim Ryan was and always be a hack! Sony should get Shu back

Lightning7723d ago

All the gamer/consumer lead heads are gone across PS and Xbox. shuhei gone phil's gone (questionable) but gone. The future of gaming is somewhat uncertain across the board.
