The E3 Countdown: What you need to know about E3

We here at Lo-Ping are pumped for E3, we know you are too. You’re an avid gamer who likes to stay up to date on the latest and greatest news of the industry, whether you’re reading up about it on a website or watching a live stream of the Video Game Awards show, suffering through all the celebrity crap just to get to the new game trailers.

We’ve decided that we’re going to get the E3 ball rolling a little early with this six part series which covers everything about the show; from its humble beginnings to our most beloved (and worst) memories of the expo, as well as spilling the beans on the rumors and what we each expect to see from each of the big three conferences.

Without further ado, let’s get started!

I love E3, I still haven't finished my E3 2010 list of the things I wanted (because some of it hasn't been released yet). But that is what is so fun about E3, seeing what you will be buying and playing in the future. Excited as hell for Nintendo again like last year. I'm talking can't get to bed before christmas excitement. lol

Im pretty convinced that E3 this year is gonna be a hit I was paying attention to microsfts conference last year and was utterly disappointed just for the fact they didn't announce any new games except that new IP. Nintendo and Sony did very well last year but I wanna be blown away by Microsoft this year.

Best Adventure Game of 2025

VGChartz's Lee Mehr: "While not carrying the same heft it enjoyed long ago, last year was one of the adventure genre's most commercially-successful years in this century. A Telltale-esque adventure eclipsing 3 million sales in three months would be the talk of the town were it not for another adventure game hurdling over 10 million sales in two. Though not all finalists reached those heights, each did share a greater amount of spotlight compared to similar titles within their respective sub-genres.

Past any sales thresholds and popularity contests, 2025 also deserves credit for its creativity; the last time our entire shortlist consisted exclusively of new IPs was for Best Adventure Game of 2020. An impressive year for the genre, with even greater potential ahead."
