Lots of the guns are expected to be carried over from BC2 into BF3. An M16 is an M16, DICE isn't gonna make up fictional guns for BF3.

It's just the gun images that have been borrowed from BC2.

This lists sucks... because I have used absolutely every single weapon on this list in BFBC2. Do they know there are more guns in the world than these!?

These are the SAME exact weapons currently being used in Battlefield play 4 Free! BF3 will have more weapons than BC2.

The HK 416 IS NOT replacing the M4a1 carbine. I get tired of this LAME propaganda as the D.O.D. has already said NO along with the U.S. Marines confirming the M4 as their choice weapon. A few as in a very small number of special forces will use the HK 416.

this is definietly the WORST estimation of expected weapons for BF3 ever. Especially since the ONLY weapons we've seen any of the trailers have been the M4A2 (which, as SociaLDisordeR points out, is strangely not even on this list!) and the M249.

With the cutthroat mentality that EA is employing with Battlefield 3, trying to knock out other best selling FPS franchises, you can bet they wont simply cut and paste all the same guns from past games without adding anything new and different.

Don't you love when the title of an article is something like, gee i dunno, "Battlefield 3 complete weapons list" but when you go to read the article the first then it says is:

"While there’s no official word on the weapons of Battlefield 3, we can make accurate estimates on what weapons will be available"

This is the worst list ever! All weapons are from previous Battlefield games and the ones seen on Battlefield 3's gameplay videos are not listed (m16a5 and m240). Also the information is incorrect for a lot of the weapons are incorrect. The AEKs were never in the Russian military and the SCAR-L is an assault riffle, not SMG.

BF3? They need to go back to BF2 for the mainline. Heck, I'd settle for true-to-source remakes of BF2 and BC2 (w/ Vietnam). Everything they've done in the 'modern' era is just bad.

I've not played 2042 myself but after v I don't feel like it. I played a few hours of v with friends but it feels ultra sterile I can't figure it out but the game looks and feels clinical. The storys in the campaign were also bland and uninteresting and felt like a dull trudge through checkpoints as you waited for an ending.

I've played the franchise dating back to it's original PC launch and PS2 spin off games I did enjoy 1 overall and it's take on placing you in different scenarios and battles was interesting but not all that good imo as you couldn't really connect with any characters longer than 2 hours.

hardline for all the hate it recived was a fun story and a new take but a bad mp game

I feel like v overall was the turning point and instead of showing the gritty reality of war they turned everything sterile and presented it in a clean cut boring frame in order to pump it full of weird micro transactions overall they spent far to much time on trying to implant ray tracing and other graphical flourishes and forgot to make the game enjoyable

I mean thats all we've wanted since BF4 but they keep doing everything we don't want.
