Unfortunately, Homefront ends up as less of an extravagant “firework”, and more of a disappointing “fizzle”. Its story ultimately lacks depth, and its characters are never developed into roles with much emotional impact.

Jack writes: "Back in March 2011, the first-person action shooter Homefront arrived on the Xbox 360 from THQ, along with a storm of publicity which included a really cool live-action trailer"

Last week game dev Steve Thornton took to Twitter to ask: fellow devs, have you ever slipped something into a game you're working on that's just for you? The replies are well worth a read.

Deep Silver and Humble Bundle are currently offering the first Homefront game for free. This offer will last for the next 48 hours, so be sure to visit its Humble Bundle page in order to acquire your free copy.
get it! the single player is excellent and intense and the MP is pretty fun, too.
Ehh, PS4 needs these deals too, or consoles in general we always get discounts rarely free stuff that's REALLY free (games with gold / psplus isn't free)
Hahaha, nothing to stand on its own two feet??? And what about DEDICATED SERVERS? Only because of that thing it is better than COD 5,6 and 7 all together...i never played game with zero lag until Homefront. Sp part deserves 6/10 like this review says...but MP part of the game deserves at least 9/10...if there weren't problems at the beginning i would give it a nice solid 10/10 first time after Counter Strike...
I couldn't review the multiplayer aspect of the game, which was noted in the review, because I didn't have an Online Pass. I wish that I could have played it, I heard that it's actually not all that bad.
Homefront has dedicated servers? That's nifty.
