Meh, Bring on Skyrim. This game didnt hold my attention long enough, I ignored its bug ridden release an played the hell out of it but it wore thin way too fast, And so did fallout 3 for me personally. Its strange the games can be so similar yet feel worlds apart.

Guess my point is, Update or not this isnt going back in the console with so many other games around now

i didnt get it because fallout 3 was (and still is) a pile of bugs stacked onto each other, and it seems i was right about waiting for this one, does anyone know if the bugs in this game were fixed?

ill probably be waiting to see if skyrim is full of bugs also, i hate being sold something half finished, i pay a lot of money for these games

its kind of hit or miss with some people. personally i haven't encountered any bugs really. i got stuck on a rock once but thats been the worst so far. the only thing is that my copy freezes my ps3 constantly. for every hour i play i have to hard reset my system like 2-5 times. its sort of turned me away from the game which is a bummer cause its really fun and addicting but its starting to drive me crazy. i have to worry about saving every few steps.

Same here, it seems to be pretty random between players. I never had any problems with glitches or bugs in New Vegas, but I had so many freezes I just had to finish the game and ditch it ever since

How about fixing a game engine that has been broken for a decade.

Don't get me wrong. Fallout 3 and New Vegas are damn fun games, but the constant game breaking glitches that occur really begin to eat away at the fun factor killing any desire to keep playing.

Last look at my Steam account has me at 117 hours for New Vegas on the 17th. This doesn't include the 20 or so I put in since then because I've had Steam in offline mode to boost stability.

So, let's be nice and say around 130 hours. Well I can damn well assure you I have lost 50 hours minimum out of that due to corrupted game saves and broken quests that forced a complete restart or major backtrack. Hell just last night I lost over 10 hours of work due to the Novac safe house corrupting my saves.

Fallout 3 was bucket loads more stable than this horse ^%#@. Hell, New Vegas version 1.0 before ANY patches was still more playable. I only really noticed serious game breaking problems after the patch to include support for Dead Money.

You'd figure with a game engine that is aging up there with it's bigger brethren like the Quake and Unreal engines they would have all the kinks worked out.

Yeah I had next to no problems with Fallout 3 until I installed some of the DLC, then my game started freezing... But even this was nowhere near as bad as New Vegas. How the hell did that game even get through quality testing?

Do more than 50-60 hours on New Vegas and you're begging for freezes. The worst part is I doubt this patch will do anything to dramatically improve the games stability anyway

New vegas never froze on my 360 once in 40 hrs. I had one bug where my gun kept firing but a reset fixed it. I was suprised how solid it was.

I have the PC Version (Retail with Steam DRM). Like you my first play through only experienced minor glitches. One was almost breaking (the Melissa glitch where if you finish "Don't Make a Beggar Out of Me" before "Oh My Papa" she disappears making finishing the latter impossible) but because I had the PC version I was able to use the console to fix it. I experienced NUMEROUS crashes to the desktop, but nothing game breaking and I never lost much because of the auto saves generated when fast traveling or changing areas.

However, after the patch for the Dead Money content "readiness" the whole game went down the tubes.

The worst glitch I experienced that made me damn near punch a whole in my screen was Veronica's quest "I Could Make You Care" getting bugged beyond fixing with the console. PRO TIP: Avoid getting ANY items associated with this quest before starting it.

Needless to say I scrapped that game and started over (20+ hours of my life for nothing). Low and behold the game I started to replace the former bugs out and corrupts my saves in Novac.

I've reached wits end with this damn game and WILL NOT be revisiting it until at least Honest Hearts and maybe one more patch come out.

For ANYONE who still believes this game is flawless:

30fps sucks. Especially on an OLED.

Kinda reminds me of miasmata also with how the navigation works. Not to miasmata's extent but definitely in the same vein
