It seems clear that a successor to the Wii is on the way but details remain scarce. Will it be HD? What formats will it support? When will it get here? ClickOnline have sorted the rumours into possible fact and probable fiction in their handy to guide to the mysterious Project Café... so far.

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Nintendo filed a lawsuit in the United States Court of International Trade.
Nintendo of America is suing the United States government over the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place last year, according to a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade and obtained by Aftermath.
LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.
is bringing out a machine that's only on a par with the ps3 and xbox 360 as they're reaching the end of their lifes a particularly good idea on nintendo's behalf? within a few years it'll have them bang smack at the bottom of the pile again.
For the most part I would be inclined to agree, but at this point in time Nintendo seem to be handicapping themselves unnecessarily by again looking at last generation's technology as their spec template. Wasn't one of the main attactions of the Wii it's initial price point too? A $400 price tag will rule out a lot of "casual" players initially, surely?
Wii doesnt have "bog standard" dvd drive as writer puts it, it has the same drive as a 360 which is dual layer. Smash bros for a start is a dual layer disc. I hate reading articles which have wrong facts, kind of discredits a lot of everything else they say.
This Project Cafe console better have more than 512mb of ram, seriously, thats not enough anymore
