Due to the fact the camera is (at its core) a device which is all mirrors that process light bouncing off of objects, this kind of functionality is keen.
I wouldn't be surprised to see them use the microphone in a equally savvy kind of way. Sort of like blowing on the mic to put out flames or take the dust off an artifact.

This might kill the processor, but it would be cool if some games used images taken from the camera as env maps, so if you walk up to a car or maybe if you were using a gun with shiny metal parts you could see reflections of your real face and surroundings rendered into the game.
