Sarcastic Gamer takes a look at how Publishers have a complete lack of game value, thinking every game released must be $60.
From the Article- "I, like many gamers, have a limited budget for gaming. While we would like to support every good game that is released, that is not feasible for the average gamer. Instead, we end up gauging how much value we will get for our $60, turning away from new, or short titles, while at the same time sticking with the tried and true formula games that we know will be worth our investment.
Unfortunately, there’s not much we as gamers can do. Simply saying “just buy the titles” won’t work for most people because not everyone has limitless funds for gaming. This has to be placed in the hands of publishers. It’s a shame though, that they have absolutely no concept of game value. This needs to change."

Microsoft announced its financial results for Q3 of fiscal year 2026, including an update on its gaming Xbox business and more.
Not looking good. Hopefully Asha Sharma is able to turn Phil’s disaster around.
To me it's still quite remarkable how they can cash-in 5.3bn in revenue in a single quarter, since their hardware is basically dead.

Thanks to the slip-up of an artist working on the title, we now have more evidence that a new Injustice game is in the works.

Spiders: "We're going to cut straight to the chase so you're not left wondering: After a long period without clear answers, we have received confirmation that Spiders is being liquidated.
What does it mean? This means the company as a whole no longer exists. We'll cease our functions immediately. The planned DLC will release via Nacon, and then-- well, that's it.
We're sorry that it's come to this and would like to thank each and every one of you for your support over the years.
If you have any questions or run into issues with your games, please contact Nacon directly as we'll no longer be able to reply."
a cleverly written article on n4g, am i dreaming ?
also the one game i bought recently and felt really awful about spending this money on was mvc3, now dont get me wrong i love the franchise but there's not enough content in the game to justify the price tag (bare-boned multiplayer modes, not enough stages, decent rooster but gets boring quickly)
This is my main reason for choosing Mortal Kombat over Portal 2. I know for a fact I would be finished with Portal 2 now. Whereas MK I am still playing and loving every minute of my time with it. It's a better deal for my money overall than P2.
I always look a lot at games before buying them and almost always have a good ratio pleasure/money/time.
Last one I felt alittle bit cheated was crysis 2. yeah it was good, but 50€ was too much for it, maybe 35/40.
On the opposite side I could pay 100€ for any battlefield game has i'm playing them for hundreds of hours.
I agree, with this Article, even though less is earned per sale, there will be more sales to counter the price reduction :D, which is good for both the publishers and the gamers
This article is gold... purely because of that hilarious picture of Kotick.
"Y game no sell?"
