Andy Robertson writes: "The next Wii will no doubt headline some surprising technology, but like the 3DS it's consolidation of interactions, connectivity and visual technology will be the more important story."
"Beyond this they need to bring across innovations from the 3DS. Some of these are quite obvious, like the inclusion on an analogue stick on both Nun-chuck and Wii-mote, but others are less so. For instance, I think it is likely that we will see a camera incorporated into the Wii-mote to enable a variety augmented reality games and new interactions elsewhere. This will also enable the enhanced Mii Maker tools that work from a picture of the person being created."

The rejection is non-final (and even when such rejections are labeled as “final”, the process is far from over, given that there can be, at minimum, an appeal to the Federal Circuit).
Good, as they should! A game mechanic like that shouldn't be locked behind a patent, and Nintendo didn't invent it either.
Nintendo wants to keep wasting money on bullshit lawsuits, real smart in this economy. They should put that money aside for other game projects. On the other hand, I don't care if they waste it all either, and they are screwed in the future maybe that will teach them a lesson.

Nintendo completed its share repurchase and set its secondary offering price at 8,347 yen ahead of March 16 delivery.

Nintendo filed a lawsuit in the United States Court of International Trade.
Nintendo of America is suing the United States government over the sweeping tariffs President Donald Trump put in place last year, according to a complaint filed Friday in the U.S. Court of International Trade and obtained by Aftermath.
LOL I read this on gaff, will they refund the money back to the gamers? highly unlikely. Didn't they just raise prices and pass it onto the gamers? Only Nintendo would send out the Ninjas to the US government.
... I just want proper 3rd party support instead of the shitload of gimmick-shovelware the Wii received.
Who's paying for a controller with all of those features? Not me. I know that much
Some interesting thoughts. I like the idea of streetpass on the controller, although I've had limited success with the 3DS streetpass in the midlands.
I think if a controller has all of that functionality it would be good to see more transparent connections with the 3DS. Given the flexibility of control available to the 3DS it would be great if the handheld could be used as an optional controller and if more games could be designed to use both Wii and 3DS functionality if both are available. There have been a few games that have attempted this but it would be good to see more.
Or even some cross platform games that allow seamless continuous progress on both handheld and main console?
Am I the only one who couldn't care less about a mic and camera in their controller?
