Config Data for MK9 for PS3 includes on-disc DLC, censored words list, Kinect support?

So one of the denizens of the internet has cracked the config file for Mortal Kombat 9 and shared his finds with the world. Among the gems? On-disc DLC for Kratos, Quan Chi, and many many alternate costumes, as well as a word filter for certain verbal flourishes other may deem offensive.

Oh…and a Kinect-support string as well for some reason.

That's a lot of naughty words...

rdgneoz35520d ago

At least its educational. I don't think everyone has heard of "wrapping the weasel" before...

juggulator5520d ago

They got the master list.

Timmer5520d ago

So they're making sure we can't be naughty over type?

Well, good thing most idiot kids don't know how to type, and will then only use headphones to annoy people online. Wish there was some way you can block that, without turning the sound off.

¨IsOnDiscDLC=jade_c

I just used my pre-order code, which was Jade's classic costume. Can't say how others will be available tought, added later, or are they already available like this one, since I don't have the game yet.. Would like to know tought.

So ripping of heads is ok as long as you dont insult someone's mother ? :p

Etseix5520d ago

apparently so, but i don't think Mortal Kombat and the word "censored" should be on the same line.

Emilio_Estevez5520d ago (Edited 5520d ago )

Why can't you say cameltoe or earning red wings? There are tons of word/phrases there that are not even censored on TV....wierd.

helghast1025520d ago

"There are tons of word/phrases there that are not even censored on TV"
Yeah, like "fuck".
Censorship is shit, though most of the list is agreeable, racism and whatnot.
If anything, "noob" should be filtered, it's lost it's meaning and is overused as all hell.

Shaolin Monks next please

vTuro24673d ago

Shaolin Monks is a forgotten gem. I would love to see a new one, or a remake of the old.

That game was actually goated. It was the first time ever that I actually tried to get good at a fighting game. Unfortunately the online connection was so dogshit it made it hard to enjoy and eventually I gave up. Haven't really played much fighting games since.

The catched the woke virus after that, saying for MK 10 that "Female Characters Will Be More Realistically Proportioned". You could still rip a spine or blow a head in a bloody explosion, but don't you dare to show a side boob or all hell will break loose.

The ladies in MK9 look like men in drag. They are so buff and their faces are so bad, I don’t feel like we lost anything aside from some sexy costumes. But sexy costumes in drags do not appeal to me.

15 Hardest Final Bosses In Fighting Games

GB: "More than perhaps any other genre, fighting games offer the kind of mechanical depth that you can lose yourself in for years. Learning the ins and outs, learning and perfecting combos, and so many other things that make this one of the most competitive genres in gaming, even on a professional level now. But you don’t have to be playing against another human to be challenged in a fighting game. Throughout the years, this genre has thrown multiple final bosses at us that have got us all collectively pulling our hair out. In this feature, we’ll be taking a look at fifteen such fights."

Isshin the sword Saint was the hardest boss I ever beat. And I've been playing games for 30 years

I went through the clickfest, it's shameful; more than usual that is, lower than gamingbolt standards, Congrats GB you've reached a new low.
