DualShockers writes: The spiritual successor (not sequel) to Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, has been teased by From Software as releasing in late 2011. The only concrete information we have is the title will be available for the PS3 and 360 and will be “immensely” harder than its predecessor. I know that sends chills up my spine too. Luckily, video game rental giant, Gamefly, has released a possible street date for Dark Souls. Bandai Namco has released its latest financial report, revealing that the Dark Souls series has reached around 40 million units combined.

Before Elden Ring and Bloodborne, FromSoftware's talents for all things creepy and chilling gave Dark Souls an atmosphere unlike any other.
This feels like the epitome of a 'tepid take'. Dark Souls has always worn its gothic horror influences on its sleeve, it isn't exactly subtle.
I'm surprised people aren't all over this whether criticizing or admiring it.
I expect the game to be better than Demon's Souls as long as they stick to the formula, expand on the levels, and keep the same difficulty. I'm sure more money is going to be spent developing this game than the last one so expect better production value. The first one was seen as a niche title and sold a ton. What a great game.
PS3 owners that enjoyed the first are sure to enjoy this one, that regardless of what anyone says, is a Sequel.
can anyone vouch for gamefly's repuration for placing release dats in advance that r actuall the release date
