How can you say fighters don't do well on the 360? There haven't been that many released for the 360, or even the PS3 for that matter. DOA4 scored well and sold pretty well. And although Street Fighter 2 got so-so reviews, It was a very popular download on Xbox Live. And why are people still trying to say that 360 is all about shooters and nothing else? Yes, Halo is a popular game, but it would be that way on any console it was released on. Right now, FPS games dominate on EVERY platform, including the PS3.

The PS3 Boyband is attacking me in force once again. Oh's no's what will I ever do??? They said I'm too poor to own a PS3. They said I never owned a PS3. They said it dont matter because they have Tekken 6, and a button masher like Tekken 6 is better than an online enabled deep fighting game like VF5. Now back to the article. I didnt expect a huge difference in graphics between the PS3 and 360 versions of VF5. Its a great looking game on either platform. What I expect is better AI and online from the 360 version. So 8-9 months is worth the wait for 360 owners. To play on an integrated online service like Xbox Live is priceless. 360 owners dont mind waiting for superior versions of multiplatform games. Oh and dont be surprised to see Tekken on the 360. Especially since Namco has already moved several other of it's past Sony exclusives to the 360, and seeing as how 360 owners may actually buy the game instead of a movie.

Last time I checked the 360 got about 10 games rated over 90%, while the PS3 only had one, Oblivion a multiplatform game.

The 360 has 71 games of 80% and up (Metacritics)
PS3 has 30 games of 80% and up average reviews

The Xbox 360 is trash. Its defective... biggest game are all sci-fi shooters and had managed to sell only 12 million consoles in over 2 years.(With 8 million being Halo fanbase) People don't want the 360 and Scifi shooters. I am a PS3 owner, but I do think some games on the 360 are interesting, the thing is they had good games on the original XBOX too, but they dropped it and left many XBOX owners in the process. by choosing only one console you do lose out on something but, I value my money and from the PS1 days Sony has served me well, with their continued product support even after a new console was introduced.

Your point is well taken to a certain extent, but if you look at reality, at this point there is no reason to trust MS to back the 360 for the long haul, and if I wanted to upgrade my console every other year I would just get a PC.

with your saying playing on the stick doesn't feel right. I guess it's a good thing I'm not into this game because I wouldn't want to have to get use to using the stick. I purchased it on the PS3 and after the first couple days it sat and collected dust until I sold it. VF use to be my favorite "3D" fighting game but I enjoy faster more user friendly games like DOA, Tekken and SC over VF now.

Tekken:DR is still a blast to play and it's online is flawless. If it wasn't it wouldn't affect it nearly as much as latency would in a game like VF5 where timing is everything.

it looks identical. I didn't notice anything different. I was suprised how responsive the game was on the 360 pad. The 360 controller (old S XBox controller) is my favorite controller for everything but fighting games. I thought it was going to be a nightmare to use but it worked great. The only thing I didn't care for is using the stick instead of the Dpad.

Yeah, there is no difference. And everyone here thinks the same. Well, almost. Power of Green gives it to the 360. But you could show him a pic of a brown spot in the black background next to a real photo of some gorgeous landscape, and he's say the spot looks better if you told him it was on the 360.

Its not hard to see the 360 version is more vibrant. You can see the diference in the video window before you even see the enlarged video after clicking on it.

If this video was in HD and used the same charactors you would know better.

One of the things I think we miss is the competitive nature that they take with their fighting games in Japan.

I dont get fighting games, that much, I'd probably prefer a more dynamic and varied game like SSM, but the LIVE gameplay enables people to fight against other people and be competitive.

Its all about the Online in this title.

I know the Xbox had a game with some body damage but it was so poorly implemented it added little to the game. I would like to see dozens of injury points such as:

- Toes, ankles, fingers, ribs, eyes, shoulders, jaws, cuts that bleed, etc, etc. No more of this WWF crap where you can seemingly keep hitting your opponent and they keep getting back up as though nothing happened. I want to see my opponent bleed if I cut them with a punch above the eye like you do in boxing.

Be nice to try a strategy of having to slowly cripple your opponent through injury before you can strike with the finishing blow. That is, smash their knee and break a couple of ribs to really slow them down before you can "finish him!" (or her).

The two you mentioned are Western attempts at fighting games.

As for Virtua Fighter 5, this game rules. The first and still the best 3d fighter. The two versions look the same to me, but the 360 version is supposed to have better aliasing but you can't tell because of the crap video quality. I recommend any fight fan with a 360 get this.

Actually you can stick a HD movie on a DVD with some compression. But you do lose the menu's extras, and other such stuff. Anyways I'm happy you can play your movie in 1080 and 7.1 sound. But umm 98% of people don't on HD and I doubt you find anyone who can tell the difference between 5.1 and 7.1. But if you can and you do own, good for you! Mind sending me some of that money you have? Collage is quite expensive and a bit of extra cash is always appreciated.

I pay for both and Game Pass Ultimate, and get the best of both worlds.
