Dualshock Nexus: "Uncharted 3 game designer Kurt Margenau has been tweeting some very interesting things about the Uncharted 3 multiplayer that hasn't been discussed yet. One of the biggest pieces of info is the removal of situational awareness from the multiplayer mode on U3! Check out the screenshot with all the new information below."
Former Naughty Dog artist Gabriel Betancourt explains why the "sweet spot" for game teams is under 200 people and how AAA "factories" kill creativity.
There’s definitely some truth to this. When teams get too large, coordination starts to outweigh creativity—layers of approval, risk aversion, and tight deadlines can turn bold ideas into “safe” ones. Keeping a team under ~200 people sounds ideal for maintaining clear communication and a shared vision. That said, massive AAA projects also come with huge technical demands and expectations, so scaling up isn’t always avoidable. The real challenge is figuring out how to keep that small-team creativity alive inside big studio structures.

The Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences (AIAS) is proud to announce that Evan Wells, former Co-President of Naughty Dog and one of the most respected studio leaders in modern game development, will be honored with a prestigious Hall of Fame Award. Wells’ induction will take place at the 29th annual D.I.C.E. Awards on February 12, 2026, at the Aria Resort in Las Vegas. Neil Druckmann, a longtime collaborator from Naughty Dog, will present Wells with his Hall of Fame Award live at the ceremony.
Neil Druckmann, the creative director of The Last of Us, is working on a new, unannounced game at Naughty Dog.
Wait I thought they cancelled a game? Or did they announce another project?

the sitch is dead. I also like that now players can climb with the shield. Naughty Dog I anticipate all the other feature anouncements, but theres 1 anouncement that will make me pass out, please tell me you have driveable vehicles.
MAN!! Naughty Dog was NOT kidding when they said that Uncharted 3 was going to be the go-to game for online multiplayer on PS3. The customization looked amazing and nearly limitless! The graphics have been improved. That’s one thing that’s awesome is being able to have awesome graphics even in online with PS3 exclusives. Both Killzone 3 and Uncharted 2 are examples of that, with great graphics even when playing online. Plus, I liked how you’re playing on moving set pieces when playing ONLINE!! That, to me, could revolutionize the way online multiplayer progresses within the next few years. Games’ single player experiences will be extended into the online and they’ll be merged together eventually, I think.
This game just keeps sounding better and better.
