Lionhead Studios is working on Kinect ideas

Lionhead Studios, the company behind the projects Fable III and Milo expresses its strong interest in producing Kinect games. While it was expected and hoped that Fable III will have Kinect support, last year Peter Molyneux, the boss of Lionhead, confirmed that the game would not be using Kinect. Project Milo was the other game from Lionhead Studios that a lot of people were looking forward to see on Kinect but was eventually cancelled. However, Lionhead didn’t lose its interest in Kinect!

Im really excited to see what devs bring to kinect now more are finally getting on top of it. Could change the cloudy outlook the device held a few months ago!

Kinect sucks ass.... Although it must be great to have for little kids cause they dont have no physical controller to smash!

Bojeeva5501d ago

I heard rumours that The Movies was being developed for Kinect http://www.megabitsofgaming...

If it is a PC+Kinect game then awesome. that was one of the best of Lionhead's games besides Black and White.

what they're going to do is allow you to use Kinect to plant a tree, and it'll grow over the course of the game. The only problem is, that tree doesn't affect the storyline. In fact, that tree have no signifacance to the game at all. It's just a cool, but totally useless idea that took 6 months to implement, like every other Molyneux ideas (talking parrot).

Also, you can use Kinect to climb a tree and rescue a cat.

Fable 4.

Why not revisit Black or White?

I personally think that kinect is retarded, but it almost seems like B+W was made for it. would probably be quit fun

lzim5501d ago

EA might have the rights to it. And it would cost too much given how long they took for the first one and how badly they butchered the second.

If any studio can prove Kinect's worth in gaming, it's Lionhead. I still don't think Kinect can solely offer the fundimentals that gaming has become known for over the years.

Perhaps Peter and his team are planning a hybrid experience (controller + Kinect). I can see that being very unique and appealing.

Army_of_Darkness5501d ago

Ummmm.. Just like the playstation move and eye camera?! Uh huh... Quite unique indeed....... -_-

Milo: Pedobear Edition. :)

lzim5501d ago

It was always the Pedobear edition since Peter Molyneux was so presonally invested in it.
