With the first Mortal Kombat webisode out and the release of the game only a week away, I can barely remember the last time I was this excited about the franchise. That's probably because the year was 1995 and I was only nine years old.

A brutal reset, a smarter story, and a return to what made it great—Mortal Kombat (2011) revived the series.
15 years went by so fast. I remember playing through the story mode at launch.

A new book detailing the artwork of the franchise has been announced
Let me fix this title to something less click baity for you:
New Book: Mortal Kombat: Flawless Victory Announced.
I grew up on this stuff. Adding it to the art collection!
I do hope the next MK iteration goes back to the core of what made these characters appeal in the first place. A few of them lost their edge - I think I've had enough with some of the auntie designs 😂

Ahead of the release of the new Mortal Kombat skins in Fortnite, Epic Games has given players a first look at Scorpion, Kitana, and Raiden.
Great article man but one thing that has always bothered me is how did they come up with the dragon logo for MK??
@Below lol could be.
Haha ya I was 10 in 1995. I remember staying up til 8AM at my cousins house and having my aunt yell at us as we tried to lie that we hadn't been up all night lol. lol staying up trying to pull every fatality we could download off of bradygames haha. stoked for this!
edit:: Haha i also remember how stoked I was for that movie. I remember telling my family "Fuck Titantic!! I wanna go see MK, it's a better movie!!" lmao they never let me live that down...I digress Titantic was a better movie, but MK was way more enjoyable.
i thought MK2 was the pinnacle of the series. i become less and less interested in the series as every new game came out. i was all but done with MK until i played the new demo. really liked it, but i am going to wait til i can get it cheaper down the road.
Growing up with Mortal Kombat and the idea would make the idiots who argue video games make kids violent have a field day.
I played MK1 arcade right when it came out. It blew me away.
