This weekend, a special event is taking place in the troubled land of Telara called "Allies of the Ascended". If you already have an account, then good news, you'll be able to invite up to 5 of your friends to be able to take part in this special event with new recruits being given access to "certain features" of the game.
The Allies of the Ascended event started at 6PM GMT Friday 8th April and runs all weekend until 6PM GMT Monday 11th April.
Players can progress through 30 levels of challenges by completing daily and weekly quests, thus earning Battle Pass experience points and rewards. The Battle Pass can be played for free and will reward players with various consumables and a set of artifacts that will literally make their pants burn – the “Pants on Fire” effect
gamigo is pleased to announce it has assembled a hefty collection of in-game events, quests and items for the “Budgie Carnival Celebration” in its fantasy MMORPG, RIFT.
After an indeterminate amount of time, the Hellbugs have reared their ugly heads once again to invade Rift. It’s up to players to fight these hellish creatures to save Telara – and in doing so – earn a number of unique rewards that will display their dominance over the Hellbugs.
Once the weekend over you will most likely uninstall the game b/c either you don't have $$$ for a monthly sub or you got spend your $$$ on much needed stuff.
It's possible they will actually get a lot of subscriptions out of this. The game is actually fun till you hit level 50, then it's as if you run into an invisible wall of boredom. Can't say I've ever played an MMO to max level and went from having fun to being completely bored that quickly. The end game content is just not good. There is stuff there (although the VAST majority is just the expert dungeons, so stuff you've probably already done while leveling), but it's just not fun.
