Ah, Magicka. Never before has there been such a game. It’s refreshing to see something so unique in the gaming world. An Indie hit, Magicka is basically an action-based game where you play a weakling wizard with a blunted sword, and struggle through a hilarious storyline.
Amazon are offering at least 70%-90% off select video game downloads for today. Highlights include Dungeon Defenders for $2.99(80% off), Trine $1.99(90% off) and Magika Collection only $3.99 (80% off).
Pretty sweet, just bought Trine for 2 bucks! Always wanted to play this game after I tried the demo a few years ago. I may buy 2 soon if I really like part 1.
Despite improvisational player-versus-player mayhem, the developers of Magicka (and its awesome spell effects) have set forth on an arduous-yet-generic adventure to release a not-so-unique Vietnam expansion pack, followed shortly by an official PvP mode; that's right, you won't need any more excuses for slaughtering your friends with a quick blast of FQASA. I had the chance to sit down with Mattias Lilja, executive producer at Paradox Interactive, and talk to him about some of Paradox's upcoming releases.
Magika is a fun little action-RPG title where you play a stereotypical wizard, with pointy hat and robe, and have to set out on bizarre quests to save the world, and stuff. The action revolves around 8 different elements of magic (Fire, water, arcane etc) and combining them in different combinations, either on yourself or on others to create a lovely range of ways to blow things up – Over several thousand, to be exact.
