Notch has today announced on his blog that the update to Beta 1.5 for Minecraft will be “next week”.

This is very true, my nephews grew up on these two games and whenever I introduce them a AAA game whether old or new, it's like seeing an alien try to make sense of it and then quickly lose interest in it.

Gaming trends are so weird to me now. Like, I’m old school and games were consumed essentially how movies were. You play through a title and look forward to the sequel or other things that came out. Now, that is so not the norm.

wolfs now weather wats next? whales?
I like all of the updates, but fix some of the shit that you already have, Notch. Here's an example.
April 1: Minecraft Beta 1.4 comes out with wolves, cookies, etc.
April 2: I update my Minecraft and immediately go searching for wolves. After about 5 minutes (use the seed 'wolf' in the seed generator), I found a wolf. Due to my lack of originality, I simply named him Wolfie. No other wolves could be found on the medium-sized island I was on. I log off after setting everything up.
April 3: Log back in in the afternoon. As I finish recreating my garden, I notice another wolf has come up, though he was already tamed. A simple duplication bug. Notch hasn't had much of a chance to do it. Besides, it's minor and I liked having another dog. I didn't complain. I logged off after finishing my ranch.
April 4: Log back in to Minecraft. As I go to check of my wolves, I got mad. BOTH of them disappeared. DAMMIT.

Instead of adding weather (I went back to the Alpha by accident, and I saw weather there, so WTF?), how about fixing wolves? Make it easier to feed them (wasted too many raw porkchops when they moved their mouths), don't let them DISAPPEAR, and make it possible to get those pricks through one door instead of needing two.
