This game looks way ahead of part one and possible the best open world game yet.

As I said before, the mission editor is just what the stagnate sandbox genre needs. Hopefully. i

KOOLWIIP5511d ago

wow, this game is lookin better every time. i liked how coles movement is slower plus this games has plenty of action and particle effects goin on without any framerate drops.. must by

Hot damn I can't wait for this game. It is single handedly my most anticipated game of 2011, and that's quite a statement to make, considering all the awesome stuff coming this year.

it's a great year for gaming, but if you are a PS3 owner as well, then it should be a SPECTACULAR year for gaming.

lots of variety, all coming from talented, veteran studios.

Sucker Punch will remain a single-project studio after Ghost of Yotei, boss suggests

“If we were good at juggling four projects, yeah, we’d have a remaster… But we only get to do one thing”…

That's more than fine. If you keep making one amazing quality game after another, with the low budget you've been utilising for games, then you'll continue to be extremly successful going forward. Don't take on a bigger load than you can handle comfortably.

Also, maybe it's time for a Sly Cooper game. No to Infamous, we've already got superhero games coming form Insomniac. Sorry Infamous fans but I want an open world Sly Cooper game.

Profchaos205d ago

Yotei is pretty incredible but I'd definitely love infamous to return to

Cacabunga205d ago (Edited 205d ago )

Wise decision by a very stupid PlayStation management this gen.
Now let Bend go 1st party too and explore some more Oregon

andy85205d ago

Im baffled how theyve made a game of this quality on this budget when worse games spend 5x that

chrisx205d ago

You're very right. Take a look at assassins creed shadows...GOY blows that game in every single department. The facial animations are leagues above shadows and also the combat and general mechanics. While on a smaller budget

Elda205d ago

I'd rather have a new Infamous game than a Sly Cooper game.

Redemption-64205d ago

Naaaaa, I like sly, but infamous is what they should do if they want to go back

Some studios function better that way.

northpaws205d ago

That's fine, will keep playing Legend 2 until their next game. Can't wait.

S2Killinit204d ago

Whatever they are doing, keep doing it.

Agent75204d ago

Have been watching vids of the game and my wife who doesn't play games, asked me why the baddies as she called them, don't seem to be fighting back much, like they're stood still. The AI is dire and this is yet another showcase game from Sony. Run about and explore with flash graphics. There's just no variety with Sony's games.

‘It’s been an honor’: Sucker Punch’s Brian Fleming and lead Erika Ishii reflect on Ghost of Yotei

Andy writes: "Brian Fleming is feeling relaxed. The Sucker Punch co-founder is speaking to me at Tokyo Game Show, days ahead of the release of Ghost of Yotei – PlayStation’s biggest release of the year, and the InFamous studio’s most-anticipated game to date."

jznrpg218d ago

I started on hard for the first round with no modes changed. 2nd round I’ll do lethal with Kurosawa mode

Aloymetal218d ago

I was using that mode but the mud is too much for my liking, the extra blood is great but that mud...I think they went overboard with it lol.

Sucker Punch on Ghost of Yotei series’ identity: ‘We can’t imagine a Ghost game in Feudal Europe’

The “Ghost” series will always feature someone with a katana.

-Foxtrot221d ago

It's funny because people assumed with them doing a new character and a different time period that they would eventually take the games outside of Japan.

Maybe since they are staying within Japan there's a chance of Tsushima II or Yoeti II in the future to continue the characters stories if they so wish, maybe even by another developer.

elazz220d ago

Im sure the next one will be Meiji period, aka The Last Samurai. Hopefully we will also see a Rurouni Kenshin trilogy in this style and production quality. I would love to see that.

Christopher220d ago

Kenshin is very much just swordplay and not stealth and a variety of weapon use. Seems like a bland option for a game, IMHO.

RaidenBlack220d ago

Also, abit funny, they were prototyping sorta Euro setting game before Tsushima (which got leaked).
But yea, that was before establishing the Ghost IP.

IRetrouk220d ago (Edited 220d ago )

Samurai are known to have visited Europe in the 17th century.... also japanese pirates and ronin were in Cagayan in the Philippines in the 15th century, also fought british and american soldiers in the 19th century, not an impossible thing to do if ya ask me🤷‍♂️

Christopher220d ago

And, as we all known, while there, they went on prolonged battled against the Europeans and there was those incidents with rogue shinobi going off on their own battles against Lords who did something bad to their family or some nonsense like that.

/s in case it's needed.

IRetrouk220d ago

Be very easy to set it in one of those periods and make up a story lol

Christopher220d ago

***Be very easy to set it in one of those periods and make up a story lol ***

But they don't want to create that level of unrealistic historical fantasy. Probably because they don't want to deal with AC Shadows level of criticism. That's the point of this article, to make that clear.

IRetrouk220d ago

I'm just saying it's doable with plenty of source material to boot, I'm not sure it would be any more fantasy than what we already get🤷‍♂️

Zerobalance220d ago

A lot like Assassin's creed then. Practically play the same, might as well copy other aspects too then...🤣

Christopher220d ago

You should probably read the article again.

babadivad220d ago

Of course not...

Mongols were a FAR bigger problem for Europe than they ever were in Japan. That game would be DOPE!!
