Commodore 64 modernized as fully-functional PC

It may be nearly 30 years since the release of the Commodore 64, but the company that brought us the 1980′s tape-loading classic all those years ago is bringing the old dog back.

Throw in some stickers, cathode lights, some Plexiglas and that old dog will be good to go.

Will absolutely be buying one. I still have my original Commie 64, complete with 1541 disk drive.

You have got your dates all wrong.

Wow that was a poor story. The Amiga CD32 sold amazing in the UK but its issues in the USA stopped them from releasing it over there and was the file blow to Amiga that is only a part of the story like but the USA version of the A32 are like gold dust.

I really regret not keeping hold of my Cd32 now. Despite the horrible pad controller, once you had a joystick and mouse connected, it was a great bit of kit. But by that time it faced much stiffer competition.

I still have mineand get it out every now and again. For me its abit like the dreamcast ahead of its time with some amazing games but the company was not in a good shape when the console came out.

MrFurious2367d ago

Really poor article that does not render justice to that fantastic machine. The architecture description is limited to its MC68000 Proc, ahaha! This guy does not have any clue about this machine. Where are the co-pro, Lisa, Agnes, AGA,...? The Multi tasking OS ??? Fantastic sound???? Ridiculous article that does not render justice to a beautiful beast from the past.
