1942 didn't have "rush mode" which is what I'm talking about, not conquest. Thats a direct influence of ET used by both BF and KZ.

Color palette? No. Art direction? No. Gameplaywise? No. I don't see it.

@BK-201 - I don't feel dumb at all. Enlighten me about where it looks like Killzone. If anything it shares the anatomically incorrect character design and cheerful color palette with Team Fortress 2.

Looking forward to these game Brink looks really good ( killzone 3 and 2 are my favourite first person shooters and i am still going to buy these game even if it is like Killzone these is a reply to the people who think that it is bad that it is like killzone

Been having my eye on this title for a while now, day one buy. After all the other FPS's that have not given me the gameplay I desire I'm hoping BRINK will be my last shooter for a while. The freedom of movement your character has is just awesome.

I'm so glad they put their focus on new gameplay instead of state of the art balls to the wall graphics with the same tired ass gameplay that every current/future FPS has/will have.

Aren't gamers tired of running up to a 3 foot wall and can't climb/jump over it? I'm so looking forward to a shooter that moves your character like that of a real person.

I believe in Crysis 2 you can do both the sliding AND jumping thing. And i fully agree that games that dont have these features are starting to get stale.

yep, ur right. It's actually the only reason I bought Crysis2. This same feature is in KZ3 as well, but only in SP which is just baffling to me.

However, I think it works a little better in crysis as you can run, slide into cover and with the right timing leap over the cover/enemy and still shoot. pretty awesome I must say.

I just finished Crysis 2 and got to play Brink at PAX, and Brink's SMART system is far more intuitive and flexible that the climbing/jumping and sliding Crysis does in that game. In Crysis it is still just catching ledges automatically, jumping high with a button hold, and sliding on button press.

SMART was much more fluid and tight in control with far more options and variablility. I was a bit dubious at first about how SMART would work given all the hype it has gotten but after getting a hands on with it I came away very impressed. I worry that once I play Brink for a while I will just hate the basic movement in every future FPS though. After only about an hour with Brink I already found myself wishing for it in Crysis 2 and when I play L4D2 already

I'm quite envious that you got a chance to get some hands on time with BRINK!

I'm just at the Battery Park level with the marines in Crysis.
Got about 5 more levels to go I think, going by the trophy list. It's movement is very very good, just not as fluid as it looks in BRINK.

Looking at all the clips I thought it looked easier to move with the SMART system. Between the focus on team OBJ's, gameplay, the SMART system and the DEEP character/weapon customization, I think this will be my last FPS until FPS's next evolution.

There's just no way I'll be able to go back to the limited movement of current FPS's after BRINK. 8 player CO-OP? More points for completing OBJ's than for kills? Seamless SP, CO-OP, and MP? Plus everything else I mentioned?

I'll be getting it for 360 at first since that is where most people I know will be playing then I may double dip and get it on sale for PC when Steam or D2D price drops it for the first time to take advantage of the mods and stuff that will inevitably come out for it. I'll toss you a FR on xbl.

Is it just me or did this game seem to get a graphical downgrade? When they first showed it it looked absolutely fantastic. One to rival Killzone and Crysis. Now dont get me wrong here, the game still looks really good, but somehow more like a better looking Borderlands meets Team Fortress meets Killzone. I dont know, maybe im just crazy.

Naw, I believe it is the same as before. They've repeatedly stated that gameplay was going to be their main focus and their strong suit.

These devs are known for FPS's and I think they will give FPS fans the kind of game they've been looking for. Those that are only insterested in KDR and "awesome" grapics with stale gameplay will be disappointed..

Huh, i remember them talking about some new kind of technology where the game will only render whats in the cameras view to make the graphics MUCH prettier. Again, maybe im mistaking the game or something. Oh well. This looks to be a fun game with it finally hits. Is there to be a single player?

The game is always the same game. The single player, co-op, and versus all happen in the same game platform. It is always 8 on 8 levels that you try to progress through. In solo you have all bots filling the slots, co-op is humans (or humans+bots) vs AI, and versus has humans on each side.

The people in versus are actually working on the other side of the campaign, so if you play Security side in versus the people are taking part in the Resistance campaign story, but against you. The whole thing is similar to how L4D series works with solo, coop, and versus all on the same maps, except instead of special infected it is other humans.
